Ross Matthews, is a great comedian and his narration of his story was delightful and read with great enthusiasm. However it was a little bit of a snooze. It was somewhat slow and boring. His story was just like the average person and typical gay man. I don't get the hype but then anyone can publish a book now a days. That being said, I enjoyed greatly his claim to fame. The man is funny. The book, I could have done without. Someone needed money.
I've read and listened to so many books, but this one was my favorite. I already adore Rose Mathews, but hearing his life in his signature voice made me love him even more! It's a must read!
Have always loved books and I find that as I have gotten older I find this way more enjoyable then listening to the radio.
boy becomes a man
The coming out portion when ross came out to his mom it had me laughing and crying it was fantastic
this verbiage and the way he get's into everything he talks about
no mumbo jumbo jive
Ross needs to do a 2nd book I want to know more
This book had me laughing! I started binge listening to Ross' podcast Straight Talk with Ross. After that I knew I just had to listen to the book! so much better listening to it straight out of the author's mouth. Not only is Ross so genuinely funny but you can tell he's just a great guy.... and so real! Can we be best friends?
It was a great book for my work commute, and really kept me entertained and laughing more than alot of other books.
MORE TAYA AND SALVADOR! (podcasts peeps know what Im talking about)
If you liked this book then please to subscribe to Straight Talk with Ross Mathews! A twice a week podcast about pop culture and advice from the gay best friend you wish you had and know you need! Has the greatest podcast family and fantastic fans! I can not reinforce enough how much this podcast will make you happy!
The parts referencing his mother and his father.
I love Ross Mathews, I find him funny and charming however his book really fell flat. I found it to be a disjointed story with way too may cliches. The book just sounded like he was trying too hard to be funny. I also felt like the book was really disjointed and moved from the past to the present which made the story hard to follow.
