I loved everything about this book. The story, the characters and the narrator was amazing in her performance. Loved my Zeke and Allie moments.
I really dislike when authors write an engaging action story, then interject a constant babble of romance. Time is short to save someone, or do something, but no, I have to listen to several minutes of babble! Really irritating!
Listening to stories as I drive to and from work is the best, making the drive a little more tolerable.
It's so intense, annoying, frustrating, scary, and emotionally draining! I am not sure how much I like...but I have to get the next book! whew!
A deep, dark and truly spectacular read at every turn. Julie Kagawa has yet again allowed me into her broken world of vampires and I have not been disappointed!
Adding to this the absolutely outstanding narrative performance of Therese Plummer and her fine grasp of each of the characters of the story made for a gripping tale!
If you like dark stories with the best narration available get this book.
80% of my day my ear has a story running it. *LOL*
I loved this book. better then then first and I thought the first one WAS great. kept me on the edge of my seat. scary, loving, emotional, u feel theses characters! A+++
Therese is AMAZING! She's easily 1 of the best narrators I have encountered so far here. The series just keeps getting better and better and Julie Kagawa might just be 1 of my new favorite authors. I love how she adds little things and makes great characters even greater. the character of Jackal is great and Sarren is a freaking psycho!
I have to say that I anticipated almost every major event before they happened. That and a rather annoying lack of risk mitigation by our young heroine (?) pushed the rating down to a 4 for me.
That said, I still am very much enjoying the story, the characters and the world building so I am on now to the to final book (which I wish was available in audio...I love this narrator)!
