EXCELLENT book. Enticing, exciting, and a real enjoyment to spend time in the authors characters lives.
Not really my typical style so I don't have one to compare it to.
I enjoyed the different points of view from the characters.
Yes, and I did
A must read!
Love listening to books while siting at my desk doing data entry
I loved the overall story itself. The interaction between the characters including Chloe and Bennett were funny, heartwarming and engaging.
I love Max. He seems to try and be complex when in reality, he just someone who wants to be loved. I love that he has a wicked bad boy sexy side as well that he fully opens up to Sarah.
The performances were amazing. I loved the fact that Jonathan had the accent as did Max which made the story even better.
I loved the scene in Sarah's apartment where Max was taking pictures while in her bedroom. It was erotic, sexy and emotional.
I loved reading Beautiful Bastard. Now I am a fan for life of Christina Lauren. The way these ladies write is a nice change to the normal first person telling. I can not wait to read Beautiful Bitch and the others coming out.
Funny, Sexy and Witty
Beautiful Bastard - I must admit while I really enjoyed Beautiful Bastard. I liked Beautiful Stranger a lot more! I loved Bennett's character but, Max definitely overshadowed him for me! I liked the development of Sarah's character much more than Chloe. Chloe just seemed to go back and forth between "I can't have sex with my boss anymore" to "Ok, this is the last time I'm having sex with my boss." Overall, I loved both books but Beautiful Stranger was by far my favorite.
Max....wow...that accent...I want to listen to the book and fast forward through all of Sarah's parts just to listen to him talk! lol
When Max realizes he's falling in love with Sarah and towards they end when she goes to his apartment and sees what's in his bedroom.
Definitely a must listen!! I can't wait for Beautiful Bitch to be released!!
Jonathan R. Cole has a voice that could melt any woman's heart. He was able to perfectly tell the story with his beautifully timbered voice and accent! Not too soft, not too rough. The story was a good one, right to the good parts and kept me interested. Might have something to do with Mr. Cole's voice but, it was a GREAT book overall.
Book addict, romance lover, sometimes blogger, and everyday librarian!
This narration was much better than the last Beautiful audiobook, but still wasn't as fabulous as I'm used to. It wasn't issues with audible inhalation or overly long pauses but more that the narrators weren't as strong in the production as they be. Both of the narrators had a few instances where they forgot to narrate a certain voice like they had before or they didn't do as good a job differentiating between certain male or female voices. I have a feeling that this book may be a first time narration for one, if not both, of them.
Still, this book was durrtyy and so good, I quickly got over the irritating narration quality! Sara was a little bit shy but a rebel at heart and Max made that bad girl come out in a good way. Although a playboy, Max was good for her; he made truly helped her discover how to be more positive and accepting of her trusting personality. One note though: This book was definitely better with your headphones in and NOT in a public/professional atmosphere. I made the mistake of listening to it on my lunch break at work, which was a total mistake. :/ I don't regret listening to it though. Listening to Cole's deep English accent say something naughty was the reason I bought it in the first place!
Yes, it was a really good story
Max... He sounded sexy as HELL!
Jonathan had the british accent down, great job!
When they decided during love making to tell everyone they were an official couple.
It was ok and had some interesting story line to make you want to follow what happens I thing Beautiful Bastard was much better, but in this book the characters from that book are also in this one so there is carry over.
