This is an excellent story, with an the most amazing first love seen. Just the description of that love seen is worth the purchase. ENJOY!
Like a trashy novel - vulgar; insulting - NOT romantic - NOTsexy!!
I only wish someone would write sophisticated romance novels for women ( not girls).
This was a waste of money
I did not enjoy the narrator on this book. Although she is a good reader, the voice she gave to Andrew really detracted from me liking him or enjoying just about anything he said. She also left looooong weird pauses between every line so the dialogue got very chopped up. I think this could have been an 11 hour book if she had just kept going once she started to say something.
That being said, the voice she gave to Camryn and her best friend, Natalie, were very well done and the dramatic parts were well read.
Eh... probably not if I can avoid it
Never get on a bus by myself with no clear direction. Look for a hot boy and hop in his car instead ;)
I think that if I had read this book to myself, I would have really really enjoyed the story, which was actually pretty good. There have been so many books I've heard lately that wouldn't have been as good read to myself (The Fault In Our Stars, The Rules of Civility) that I think I got a little spoiled. It's a fine and dandy listen, but I didn't love it.
I really enjoyed The Edge of Never for it's small and subtle moments. I would rate the book over all as a 3, it is a good love story with interesting characters and prospectives. But what kept me from loving the book was that as interesting as the characters were the story of those characters could have been so much better. And the potential of the book is what and the fact that it didn't quite hit that mark is the only reason it is not rated higher.
However there are these beautiful moments of human incite in the book that really were powerful. Moments between Cameron and Andrew that were really perfect and gave the depth of writer's style that J.A. Redmerski has. I hope that she writes more because I would love to see what more she could do with that really soulful style of writing.
Oh My Gosh!! I just this second finished this story and had to come here for a review. This was a great story with great characters, told in a very different and great way and oh yeah did I say this was great LOL. I LOVED everything about this book. The narration was also, you guessed it, great. I am not in the habit of writing reviews with spoilers and this is no exception, but I will say this much, if you have ever read a book that made you laugh out loud and/or sat with tears streaming down your face unashamedly and when you finished that book you sighed and hoped you find another that will give you that much emotional satisfaction, then you really NEED to get this book. I will listen to this one many times and will look forward to more from this author and narrator. All I can say to finish is Thank you for just a great ride J A Redmerski and Lauren Fortgang!!
I loved this story although the author really, really, really drew out the love scenes. You pretty much guess why from the onset (although it is not confirmed until near the end). They talked about almost having sex for 80% of the book so when they finally get together you know something bad is about to happen to change it. When Cam gets the news you really hurt for her since she has had such crappy luck with guys in her short life. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster and the characters will stick in your mind for days. I can't wait until this author's next book. Well done!!
your guessing and it's like you are there with the...not bad :)
I currently can't...
She did ok voices but I found her voices for the women...a little annoying.
I could have but I had to take some breaks.
I loved that the adventure, the getting to know each other, the relationship and love was so simple, yet so emotional and mesmerizing. This was an amazing tale of two people who only wanted the unpretentious out of life, both searching for something neither knew and finding each other in the process. Makes one believe in fate, both wonderful and not so inviting, but fate nonetheless.
When Andrew showed Cam his tattoo of Orpheus and Eurydice and explained why the tattoo wasn't finished.
It took awhile to get used to her narration, but after awhile it got better.
This was by far the best romance book I have ever listened to or read. Any story that can make me bawl or make me laugh out loud and still have the elements of romance such as softness, sexual pleasure, and adventure is outstanding. This book had it all for me. J.A. Redmerski, this is my first book of yours; I will try others after I recover from my extreme emotional state. Thank you both, author and narrator.
This audiobook was average. I expect more from a story to give four or five stars. The writing was good for a first mass market novel, but I found the story line to be very predictable. The characters are immature people letting their lives pass by like the boring scenery outside a Greyhound bus window, while they wallow in their suffering from life's tragedies. Think twice before using a credit for this story.
