Need a person better at narration.
I could not get passed chapter 10 because the first ten chapters were so unbelievably boringgggg for a romance novel that I had to stop. I literally could not force myself to go further. It was like watching water run. I gave it what I did because I would feel bad giving it what I really think. And the narrator is beyond beyond irritating. I usually love most romance novels but this was not one sadly.
I dont get the hype. Whenthis book released it seemed everyone I knew was raving over it. Me? I just dont get it. I idnt feel there was any real connection between Cam & Andrew at least not one that was on the level the story "told" us there was. I didnt get no feels from this book besides "seriously?" Cam was just hrmm I dunno iI had no connection with her, didnt understnd her or her way of thinking. Andrew became her EVERYTHING almost instantly when her everything was Ian and why she was in this downward spiral and couldnt cry or lah blah so on and Im assuming why she just up and got on a bus to no where without a care in the world.
I loved this story. Excellent heart wrenching story of young love with a tragic twist. I was balling my eyes out, laughing, grinning like an idiot throughout - you name it. Very emotionally in tune and realistic.
Likes: **Narrators did a phenomenal job!
Funny, heartwarming & sexy
Dislikes: I found it to be a tad bit lengthy.
I really enjoyed this book. Really enjoyed the charismatic character that is Cameron. She is trying to break out of her she'll.I have to say though that Andrew was the main reason I kept reading the book, in this case here's the book. I enjoyed his character very much. He was a very sweet man but at the same time such a bad boy. I do have to say at some point I was frustrated because I didn't understand what was going on. In the end I enjoyed it too. I'm kind of disappointed with the ending because I expected them to do what they were both planing to do and live like nomad. With the ending that it ended up with I don't see that happening. But overall this was a very good book I would definitely read it again.
Love Dystopian novels, Romance and Murder Mysteries!
I fell in LOVE with Camryn & Andrew in this book. It's hard to describe in words how you fall for them, but you do. The way the author introduces them, how their separate stories slowly unfold and attracts them to the other. How they compliment and bring the best out in each other. It's undeniably attractive and draws you in.
The story of the two of them on the bus and then taking a road trip together, makes you want to do something wild like that. To just drop everything and live one day at a time. Never knowing where you will end up.
You get sucked in. You daydream that you are with them... you want to be wild and free like that too.
You'll finish this book with tears in your eyes, feeling like you need to live like you are dying. Everyday is a gift. I am so happy that they reminded me of that =)
I listened to this book twice because it is that good.
I have a feeling you will too...
Worth the credit? NO DOUBT! Add it to your cart now so that you can love it like I did =)
I know that some have reviewed this book as slow. I agree to a point. It is a love story told through many years of their lives. However, it was a beautiful love story. Cam and Andrew have ups and downs just like any couple. Their story makes you laugh and cry. There is just something about the two of them that keep you listening. You want to find out what will happen next. Cam is young and confused but knows that her current life is not what she wants. She does not know what she wants but then meets Andrew. He is running away from his troubles and feels an immediate connection to Cam. Together the set off to change their destiny. The thing I like about this book is that it is not so over the top with events that happen to Cam and Andrew, that you can still imagine yourself in their place. This is a romance story that will not disappoint. It reminds me a bit of S.C. Stephens books.
