How three men can care so much about the same woman Holly and how when Ryan and Ethan first met Lacy, they didnt fall in love with her but when they first met Holly they knew that she was the one
Mr Bates is a very good reader, he brings the expression as if you are actually looking at a movie
When Holly had to go out on her own to make the divorce of her ex husband happen but without the three men she loved!!!!
Tell us about yourself!
What the heck?
Ryan breaking down and telling Holly what is really wrong with him.
The three brothers although he's quite OK with Holly too!
I wouldn't say moved, but more like shocked. I don't want to spoil it but I almost stopped listening because it really was too much for me, but I decided to give it a chance and found that it was softened toward the end. BUT STILL be warned that the content is very strong.
Had I realised before buying I probably wouldn't have bought it, but I did enjoy the story on the whole and it was a good story. Need to listen to the next one now cause I'm intreagued to see where this will all lead.
HATE spoilers! Enjoy HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. Books outside HOT genre = books given to me to review
This was a bit 'out there' as far as plot (in my opinion)-the whole sharing aspect-it is fiction. However the plot of the back/other story was suspenseful and held my interest.
The action of Holly trying to escape her abusive husband and the protectiveness of the Colter men.
Without giving away the ending-the search for Holly after her kidnapping.
No, the ends were all 'tied up' and no questions left unanswered.
Absolutely!. I've only just started reading the book and am so taken in that I need to share.
So far every chapter is riveting.
They are all my favorites. Maya Banks delineates each brother as separate individuals, yet shows them each as loving, respectful, hot and sexy.
Yes, If I didn't work daily, I would have finished it in one day.
I've read many hot books by other wonderful authors and Maya Banks stands equal to them all. Though other reviews are about the fantasy of a woman with 3 brothers she can't resist this is definitely on top of my list.
I really tried to enjoy this book. I read the sketchy reviews so I didn't have high expectations, but the story (or lack thereof) was just so weak. I actually gave up half way through.
One of the previous reviewers mentioned that this book was really erotica, but still had romance in it. I guess what would differentiate erotica from romance (in my definition) is that the plot in erotica is really only there to justify the sex scenes. I felt like the plot in Colters' Woman was kind of like the plot of a high end porno...it's there, but it pretty unrealistic and just a conduit to get the cast to jump into bed. And the romance was just plain weak. Everything happened too fast.
Farrell's impersonation of Bush
I would cut half the sex scenes and add actual plot scenes
I feel like this is a harsh review, but I do think the book might appeal to some people. I guess I'm not adverse to a story like this, but I'd rather read it, not listen to it.
I love to read. I love all genres but romance in particular. The hotter and steamy and sexier book is the more I want to read it.
the love they have for this women.
after dinner in denver, was a hot and lovely moment
I have not but he was a wonderful performance.
no but i wish i could have,
i love the printed book and have read it no less thaqn 8 times, i knew what i was getting into , but it bring a whole new life to listin to it, i will be lisitin and rereading again.
Hands down Maya Banks can write some steamy love scenes, that was the best thing about this book. I don't really have a least favorite thing because my expectations weren't super high for a storyline that was this unrealistic but under the guise of taking place in modern times. I surely wouldn't mind being the woman in this, i'm just saying, wow does it sound nice to hook up with three totally sexy, committed, AND good looking men!?!?! If you want a cute and hot hot H-O-T book to listen to, this is it.
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
considering the content it really wasn't that bad. The story had some interest and the dynamics of the brothers was sort of interesting. If you're not offended by kinky fu@#$ery you may want to give it a try.
Of course near the end.....can't say too much without giving it away....
I don't think I have heard him before...he did a good job with all the male voices and the female as well. The brothers were distinguishable which is the most important part of the story. I could picture each one in my mind.
No extreme reactions.
Ardent reader of history, non-fiction, fiction, fantasy, sci-fi. Have a lot of audiobooks, but in all honesty, I prefer to read rather than listen. However, my daily hourly walk has become a pleasure with a good audiobook to listen to.
Its not my thing, and I dont think my friends would enjoy this stuff either, so I dont think Id recommend it, other than to bring the title up if we were broadly discussing the subject or the various writings of porn thats out there. I like to listen to or read books that teach me something or make me wonder or think about life in general. Ive read a few good romance with novels that do just that, and was curious enough to dive into this one. This book .... well. All I learnt was that an unconscious woman, a young virgin at that, all of a sudden can become hot property desired by 3 brothers (and in my innate curiosity about humans and things in general, I cant help but wonder ... does/could this really happen!? Can you imagine!? Heck, I cant. How could this possibly work out?!) without her even knowing about it at the time. This to me seems like a confabulated pornographic tale of Snow White with Prince Charming, only here she has THREE of the Charming Princes! All brothers. The whole premise made me feel a little uncomfortable, I must say. Apparently the story goes on in a further book in a storyline which makes me feel even more uncomfortable - she has their kids and they all live happily ever after. Really, what twaddle. For me personally, I just dont gel with this kind of writing. Im not anti-erotica or against stories with a sexual theme, but this book is just plain ridiculous. (IMHO). This is not romance, its porn, plain and simple, and I feel this *entire* series should be listed under the erotica section, not romance.
Its a dumb story. Just plain weird setup all round.
If that one guy said 'Im/we're not going to hurt you' one more time, I swear I was going to spit a spider. Aside from the boring repetition, I mean, its hardly a healthy situation that he wants this woman to be in, and I would say okay, so its not physical hurt, but what about emotional etc? And one very positive thing .. I found the narrator did a sterling job reading this. He handled everything and the entire subject matter with great aplomb. Well done!
Mother of 3, grandmother of 6, retired nurse and substance abuse counselor. Thrilled to have the time to read or listen to books again.
well this is a first for me. if you like a book with lots of really hot sex in it then this book will do it for you, just understand that the sex is with 3 partners at once! i was a bit shocked and mildly uncomfortable with it through out the entire book but the story that went along with it was good so i finished it. It's the first book in "Colter's Legacy so admittedly i'm now curious as to what is next?
The narration was fine.
