"OMG the best book I have read in years!!"
Fantastically written and a must read. I loved everything about this book and couldn't put it down. It made me laugh and cry in equal measures and made me realise how difficult and confusing life can be sometimes. Beautifully written buy it now!
"Lived up to the blurb"
Yes because it was cleverly written and I'm sure I would get different things out of it the next time
Don. He was fab
His deadpan delivery, it was just perfect for the character
Books do not make me laugh out loud. But this did, it surprised me and made me splutter. I was sorry when it ended, I loved it
What a great take on life on the edge of the autistic spectrum. How he develops coping strategies to appear normal (well what's normal...)
Clearly identifying prejudice as people just don't meet enough people like this to understand how they think. Complete logic. But all done in such an amusing way it'll have you laughing from cover to cover.
"A new look at love and relationships"
I picked up the Rosie Project as a book at a friends house and having to leave the book behind 3 chapters in i brought it on audible. I was hooked! It's a very compelling book that makes you look at relationships and the world in a different way. If you ever had a friend who computes the world in a different way this book will make you love them even more. It is well written, well read, funny, sad and just moreish! Please read/ listen you won't regret it.
This has been one of my favourite audio books to date.
The story was charming, clever and witty. The narrator was very enjoyable to listen to. For me the narration is so important, almost more than the story- so added to a strong story and I didn't want this book to end! It's a rare time I have raved about a book lately.
This book had me laughing out loud and many times to myself as I listened.
Really could not recommend this more!!
Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
The dancing story! Laughed a lot
I felt you really bought into the main character
"Great story, great performance."
I'd heard about this book but was a little reluctant to buy it as when reviewers rave about how funny a novel is I am often left disappointed. However, I did find myself laughing at this book and the delivery by the narrator is spot on. It is a warm, interesting, amusing and touching story and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
A funny and uplifting story on the surface yet very thought provoking. The narration is perfect.
What can I say? It's very funny and at the same time makes you sympathise with the protagonist who is perfectly rational. So why do people find him odd? Listen to this and find out. Narration fits the book perfectly.
Great fun. Australian narrator is totally appropriate to the story. Don Tillman is the sweetest man in the world. Well paced, good story, great central characters.
Much better than the average debut novel. The overall 5 star mark reflects that whole of it is greater than the sum of its parts.
I found that the main character in this book is quite different to the normal hero, so for me making it a interesting and fun listen.
