Really enjoyable book. Gently amusing but thought provoking and moving at times. Really well narrated. Can't wait to hear the next book in the series.
It's funny, witty, clever, and Dan O Grady's delivery is spot on. I'm glad I bought the audiobook instead of the print version - it really does have a different quality.
It was a funny down-to-earth, charming book! I loved it! Beginning the Rosie Effect now!
"Don't miss out on this treasure"
Heard a review of this and reading from the author and knew that I had to listen to it. I was not disappointed as it was even better than I expected. I think the narrating definitely added to the experience and the whole family started listening along with me. Can't recommend it enough and have already downloaded the sequel.
"Gripping and hilarious until the end!!"
Great book, keeps you guessing the whole way through and makes the characters feel very real and likeable! fantastic read!
"I wasn't sure at first...and then!"
Great reader, great story - hilarious concept...loved it!
It was almost deadpan...
would have loved to but there is a real life too!!
"Enjoyed the book although a bit slow to start"
Quirky, funny and a good read.
the cocktail bar scene.
Lovely voice and it was well narrated.
A couple of laugh out loud moments.
"Good solid feelgood fun."
Genuinely heartwarming stuff, great characters and excellent story. The narration is perfect for the story, dry and deadpan allowing the story to flow not showing off with unnecessary accents.
I had seen this audiobook months ago and wasn't really that sure about the storyline....it came up again on the suggested listening when I finished another book. The reviews had stacked up and were so positive that I thought I would give it a whirl. It has been wonderfully entertaining. I did wonder if it would be too sad but Don is a high achieving academic so he has already overcome a lot. It does open your eyes in a small way to the constant minefield that life can be when you live with Aspergers. The narration was also excellent. So pleased there is a second book to enjoy!
"I enjoyed so much"
I found the book funny, existing and fresh because of him.
Lots of moments...but if I have to choose one...the trip to New York.
He brought Don to life...I could almost fall in love with him...correct!
When he realises he is in love with her.
One of my favorite books now :-)
