Extinction Machine brings in the conflict to the DMS you have all been waiting for, ALIENS! While, up until now, the Department of Military Sciences has been basically X-Files on steroids, Extinction Machine closes that bridge to open in a whole new era for Ledger and Echo Team
I LOVE this guy! I started this series totally out of order and, with few exceptions, it made little difference! He grabs you and doesn't let go! And FUNNY! Death and destruction with humor, what more could I ask for????!!!!! Throw Ray Porter in as a narrator and you've got gold! Porter narrates exactly how Maberry intends the book to be heard and he's brilliant at it! He's another one I take notice of when considering a new book! Run in the direction of both of them, you won't be sorry!
There was way too many things going on in this novel compared to the others in the series. I understand the outlandish things that Joe Ledger goes through, but this time, it just seemed like everything was forced and Ledger was thrown in as a "by the way" kind of thing.
I loved all of the characters Ray portrayed. For a single person read, he gives great distinctions and depth to all of his characters. I think Mr. Church/Deacon is probably one of my favorites.
To be completely honest, Extinction Machine was stupid and I didn't care for the storyline all too much. Which is saying a lot considering everything else the group in this series has dealt with. This book should be removed from the series, or rewritten. It seemed rushed and out of place. It reminded me too much of National Treasure (and not in a good way).
Love the Joe Ledger stories! Aliens! Ray Porter makes it all comes to life. This is my second time through this book while waiting for more Ledger stories
Jonathan Maberry, thank you. I'm happy now because there are many yet unheard adventures waiting for me. I'll probably curse you for not writing faster before too long, though. Ray Porter, thank you. You show respect for the story and voice a fascinating Joe Ledger.
Jonathan Maberry & Ray Porter a dynamic duo, makes for great experience especially for Joe's personality
No only cause I don't do books more than once ever but it is an awesome episode of Joe Ledger.
Learning new curses words like ASSHAT
Joe Ledger - always Ray Porter is INCREDIBLE actor for this series. I love him.
Friend, Foe or Alien?!
