I liked this a lot. I'm not sure if I like Robie better than Puller. Both Baldacci characters are strong. I think Reel is great!
I've already started the next in this series.
I enjoy the narration of the audiobooks but I really don't like the sound effects.
I love the Will Robie books, but am inclined not to purchase anymore because of the lame sound effects and music. I listen to audio books because I have a long commute. If I wanted music and sound effects then I wouldn't buy audio BOOKS. The whole point is being able to use one's imagination. Please stop. I don't want to stop buying Baldacci's audio books but is he continues to cheese them up then I'll be forced to.
Tell us about yourself!
This was so predictable and bland - nothing here.
Selling books based on brand and not content is the real crime
Narration was fine
Disappointment - You knew from the beginning how this book was going to end.
This is not a spoiler but here is the book in a nutshell - Crime committed / Crime solved. That review was deeper than this book.
A potentially exciting political thriller that was too political with very few thrills. I understand authors have the right to inject their political views. I will just respectfully disagree and move on to another author.
This was a great story (thank you, D. Baldacci - this story is by far one of my new favorites) and the readers did a fantastic job!
My only criticism (and it's a small one) would be: the female reader (Orlagh Cassidy) needs to vary her voice a little more for different characters (all the female characters sounded the same - had the same overly forced southern-draw).
Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook. This book was so good, I bought two more Baldacci books with the same readers.
Loved it because it kept me interested. It was the second time hearing and reading this book. I reommend it to everyone. Ron and Orlagh are great together as narrators. You will enjoy the book, narration and story.
Will Robie series is one of the best of David Baldacci's. His characters come to life on the page. Couldn't put this one down I'd rather lose sleep than wait to see what Robie will do. The action around Robie keeps you turning page after page. Definitely 5 Stars.
