I would say The Hit ranks pretty high up there in all the audio books I've listened to so far,
Yes, this book had many twists in it and it really kept my attention. I really like the Will Robie character.
I have only listened to them in this series but I really like that there is a woman for the women's voices. Some narrators try and talk like women and it just sounds too unnatural.
Pretty much so, yes, but i didn't do that. :)
Hoping another Will Robie story comes out soon! This story really had me pulled into it and now I feel like I'm missing something.
I've never read or listened to any of David Baldacci's books so wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very engaging story line and quite an enjoyable listen. Both performers on the book (one male, one female) were great to listen to and did a good job as well. I'm glad I purchased this one--will definitely listen to again!
Tell us about yourself!
After listening to the last book by another auther, which was worse than bad, this was a great listen. One of his better books. Don't understand the few bad reviews. This is one to listen or read. Great story
I didn't read the print version....
Will Robie. I find myself wanting to get to know him more....
Too many to pick just one
When Jessica realized she could trust him
Please write another in the series quickly, I can't wait for another one!
interesting story, makes you really wonder about the inner working of the government and how little we regular guys are ever told
FAST, RIVOTING, QUICK

GREAT FIRST SPY BOOK TO SELECT GREAT FIRST DAVID BOOK TO SELECT
Unpredictable except to know that Baldacci is always going to be unpredictable as to where he's going.
I enjoyed getting to know Agent Will Robie. He showed not only his stone cold ability to be superhuman in sparring, but he also gave us an emotional image within his mind and heart.
There were so many scenes to choose from that were action packed and thought provoking in this entire story.
The narration was excellent and the sound effects where exciting.
None so far but I will keep listening. lol
They were both excellent, great narration.
No, but this book was exciting from the beginning, very suspenseful.
I liked how the characters weaved in and out. I was not surprised of the relationship the leads developed. I thought the addition of the sound effects made the story better as did using two narators.
Always pretty well done
No to either question but it did keep me interested and I finished it in two days which is unusual for me.
As many others have stated, Orlagh Cassidy's narration is irritating and lackluster. The female characters sounded similar and were delivered in a whiny monotone that detracted from an otherwise good story. Dual narration and sound effects aren't necessary when listening to a gifted storyteller.
Baldacci is going to lose readers if Cassidy becomes representative of the women in his books! I don't usually write reviews, but this one is so poor it warrants an exception.
