I'm a 25 year old mum to my beautiful nearly 2 yr old daughter and i LOVE books , both reading and listening to them :D
well i have 20 great listens in my library ATM and fever is about number 10 i say ..great listen !
Jace , i just love his character his sexy , strong , mysterious all great treats for a leading man
he does a great job , i liked the way he reads the story , his tone goes thou the emotions of the story and keeps you listening
Modern day Cinderella story with a sexy twist !
Yes, I would listen again. Although its definitely like Cinderella and there are moments when it really stretches the realm of possibility, I don't read/listen to books to be reminded of reality, so because of that, I enjoyed delving further into these main characters from this series. It smoldered with some of the sexy scenes, the interactions between the friends was always a bit comical to me, and it kept me on the edge a bit because the whole time I was a bit like, "how is this all going to unfold??"
I love all of the guys equally--I love their friendship, loyalty, honesty, and maybe I'm kinkier than I thought because I like how dominant they all are. The dominance does border on a little crazy, but, I think it's the power that comes across that is so delicious with these three. I'm really looking forward to the next book that tells Ash's story.
Hard to make the call on this one. He does all the male lead characters really well, but if I had to choose I enjoyed Gabe from the first book and equally enjoyed Jase in this one. His narration was better in Fever than in Rush.
Toward the end I wanted to cry because of what happened to Betheny and Jase's reaction it was heartwrenching.
Buyt it! Great book, and I am enjoying the series!
Preface: I normally truly enjoy Maya Banks' books. I loved "Rush," the first book in this series. I was looking forward to this sequel, and was already intrigued by the male lead and the potential for another GREAT read. I am generally empathetic and sympathetic to characters with emotional baggage, and I do NOT enjoy writing negative feedback. That said...
I found both the wildly exaggerated, stereotypical depictions of the poor innocent little destitute "victimized-by-the-big-mean-evil-rich-greedy society" female lead ("Bethany"), to be PAINFULLY, *stupidly/immaturely* gullible, irresponsible waif literally PAINFUL to endure. I repeatedly found myself exclaiming, "Oh, for F's sake!" and PRAYING that Jace would just WALK AWAY from Bethany. I don't want to believe that there is a significant target market of readers naive enough to find this melodramatically pathetic female lead or the plot appealing. It was nauseating. Gah. Maya can do SO MUCH BETTER than this.
Loved this book...Maya Banks does it again. Where oh where is the third book on audio??? Please hurry hurry hurry....I just know it is going to be Ash's turn!!
I really wish I could give this book more than just 2 stars. I love Maya Banks – I have listened to many of her books. However, I just can’t bring myself to give this book a positive review. The narrator was terrible no personality, I could have fallen asleep. The male roll in this book uses of the word baby made me sick after the 100000 he used it. I just could not get into this one. The poor me female roll did not work for me. train wreck!!!
Turned me on
I'm not sure how to choose. Seriously I'm allowed to say this (this is my very first time writing an Audible review!), but oh my goodness ALL of the sex scenes were awesome. Let me just say my husband is very, very grateful to Maya Banks and so am I.
Love how he sounded reading the male characters. Not so much when he was reading for the females. I think the book could've been even more HOT with a male and female voice.
I have two problems with this book. 50 shades has already been written. There were entirely too many similarities. Thankfully there were enough things thrown in there to not totally irritate me. I guess I shouldn't mention them all since there may be 2 or 3 people on earth who haven't read that series yet but honestly I could make a very very long list. My only other problem with the book, and this one irritated me more than the first has to do with the writing in general. I read the first book in the series, Rush followed by this one, Fever. I've never read anything by her before and I enjoyed Rush. While listening to Fever I couldn't believe she could not come up with different comments and phrases. I get that they're both dominant men and they're best friends but in reality would they say the exact same phrases when talking and thinking?? Ok so that may not irritate anyone else but listening to it right after I'd listened to the first book made it SO obvious!! Besides those two things I enjoyed both books and I've already downloaded Burn!
So steamy, intensive and pulls you right in, finished in less than a day. Can't wait for the next installment
Love never dies, just changes form~Nikita
Everything. I know that sounds cheesy but I was hooked from the first three words.
The love and affection for a girl who desperately needed it. It's a Cinderella story but with XXX scenes.
He's a great narrator even though he had six or more characters to narrate for; he was believable.
The True Story of Cinderella.
PLEASE take a chance on this book. I'm keeping it and I KNOW I will be listening for many more years to come.
Nothing, I loved the story as is the author did a great job with the story line and characters
Bethany, the streets and the adoption system made her strong and it showed through her characters. Bethany was very loving and kind and deserved a break.
His voice tone brought the characters to life
They all fit into the story line perfectly no changes
I have to admit this book brought tears to my eyes when I thought Bethany was not going to survive and Jase truly loved her with all his heart and then some.
My way in learning to relax is to read or to be read to audiblly!
Most definiatly this is the first book ever that had me in tears at times and laughing aloud at another time. I am happy to have chosen the trilogy and yes I have already ordered Burn!
There is a tie between Bethany and Jas. I love the chemistry between them.
No my 1st.
Yes Bethany and Jas her in the standing in the rain waiting on him to tell him it was over, knowing he is the best thing she will ever have.
I stayed up all night listening could not stop listening until it ended.
