Powerful. The choices made by those closest to Abdullah in selling his three-year old sister,Pari, create an emotionally complex story that becomes more powerful with the turn of each page.
I felt that the female voice was very hard to understand. I had to either listen closely or
play those parts again. This was not as riveting as The Kite Runner.
beautifully painted with vivid smells, colours and love. Cleverly woven stories, knitting together towards the end. Enhanced by the authors reading.
I rarely find a book that leaves me with such a feeling of melocoly. This was a wonderfully told story of family, kinship, and loss but still hope for the future. This is a fantastic story.
The author is a wonderful storyteller and I enjoyed the narration as well. I enjoyed this book as much as Hosseini's previous two books. His writing is so poetic and he is masterful at drawing you into each story that is told in this book. Truly enjoyable.
