It's definitely at the top of my list of favourites so far. And I really can't wait to hear what the other, in the series, will bring.
Well, that's an obvious answer. I love Gideon and I love Eva. They are, of course, my favourite characters. I do agree that they are meant for each other. Their personalities are very Intense. Direct. To the point. Plus, the compliment each other. But I'm glad that they are maturing to handle whatever life throws at them.
The only performance's I've listened to for Jill were the previous books in the series. And honestly, she has done an excellent job. Best person for the part of narrator.
Honestly, everything about the book was quite outstanding. The storyline has been brilliant from the start and this one is no exception., It has definitely kept me "on the edge" and peeked interest in wanting to know, what's coming next. It's exciting to know what Ms. Day will come with next.
Avid reader and Audio books listener
what ‘crossfire” means to both of them.
I understand the disappointment of the book becoming a series when we expected a conclusion. I too am frustrated by books that turn into trilogies and series. The difference with this series? The many characters and the author taking time to develop them, which is worth the continuation.
Moving these books to a rapid conclusion would have left parts untold; like 50 shades did in the end. Wrapping up the book really quickly with a nice neat end, but left readers wanting to know more.................
Both main characters have unresolved deep emotional scars & issues that they have not fully dealt with. Eva’s need to impress her father and Gideon’s refusal to really deal with what happened in his childhood. This book is a window to the changes occurring as the Eva and Gideon become really entwined in each other.
BEWARE OF SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW...Really do like this storyline, and Sylvia day is a good writer. I still felt a little cheated by this book. I was really looking forward to this release, and was disappointed on how this book ended. I was so glad that Gideon talked Eva into marrying him, and that they have moved forward in their relationship. I think that Ms. Day did a good job in describing the characters need to learn to trust each other more, and this is a fast paced relationship. My disappointment is in not knowing some of the conclusions to the plots taking part in the series. I think Ms. Day could of let us know at least who is helping Gideon hide guilt of Nathan's death. It seems we still have a lot of questions unanswered. I too didn't know until recently that this book wasn't the last installment in the trilogy. I will still diligently wait for the new installments to the series and read on, because I love this storyline and the characters. Please Ms. Day do not make us wait too long for the next installment!!
Fifty Shades of Gray trilogy, just not all the BDSM...
I love Ms. Redfield's voice and performance...
COME OUT WITH THE NEW INSTALLMENT SOON!!!! Please don't make us wait six months to a year...
Engaged, appropriate, easy
Seriously, how many characters that nobody cares about and how many sub-plots can Ms. Day add to the storyline until Eva and Gideon are no longer needed?
Yes, I can get so much done when I am listening to books, although I love the feel of a book it takes so much time away from the things I need to do.
The storyline is great, the characters have become friends and its like catching up with them with each new book.
The inflection, the way Jill narrates the story makes it so personal.
Cant wait for the next one. When is it going to be released?
A very good story About Eva and Gideon and their love affair. Can't wait for the next in the series. A must listen to book.
HATE spoilers! Enjoy HOT, sexy books. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. Running out this type Audible-so on2 lighter romance/mystery :-(
I enjoyed the continuation and the interplay with the characters.
The thing I liked the least is that nothing was wrapped up - in the previous books there was an obvious sub plot (Book 1 Ava & Gideon begin and and begin to deal with Ava's broken past - Book 2 deals with Ava's stepbrother) within the relationship that came to a resolution-this book did not have that. This seemed a lot like 'filler', we learned nothing new about Gideon's brokenness.
More details and healing insight to Gideon's trauma & something beyond the relationship of Ava & Gideon than 'I'm jealous, forgive me.' 'No I'm jealous, forgive me.' etc.
The dance club-AWESOME!
Yes, as I'm addicted to the series. But I would not recommend to a new reader until the whole series is published as this drip, drip is maddening!
Strong language and sexual content.
Yes love Jill Redfield, she brings the characters to life. She has that sexy radio talk show host voice. All her male voices are believable and sexy as well. "Oh Evaaaa"
Their continued journey and some of the many loose ends getting tied up...but more please!!! The building trust and unity Between Gideon and Eva . Looking forward to a happy healing ending. They need to get pregnant, the next step with that significant event number two on the horizon.
Will do anything for books!
First of all, Jill Redfield does an amazing job on all three books. Her voices are PERFECT and the inflection is awesome, she is so fun and has so much sass!
I don't know what all the negative hype is about. I truly enjoyed delving into the characters and seeing the development to Eva and Gideon. Great story progession! Thank you, can't wait for the rest. Keep them coming, as long as you can give us more on these two we will love them.
I really enjoyed this book as well as the previous two. I like the idea that it was not the last one in the series. That way we can get more details on the supporting characters. I also like others felt like there was some "fluff" to fill in spaces, but overall it was a good read. My only negative is that I don't want to have to wait for months for the next one...it felt like it took forever for this one!
