I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the rest of the series. Lucy Rivers' narration is too dramatic, and takes away from some elements of the tale. But as the drama unfolded I was able to ignore that distraction.
I love the Classic novels and most anything based in the nineteenth century.
The story was ok... The narrator made the men sound RIDICULOUS. I would actually laugh out loud at how she the men in the story sound. I finished the book because I used a credit on it. But it was basically background noise, I couldn't take any of it seriously due to the narration.
I like this book and have ordered the next one In the
series. Not great but good! Performance was ok - sometimes she got a little dramatic sounding but it was ok.
I thought the narrator was excellent! And I love most books written by Lauren Dane. I had already read the book, but I am person that likes to re-read and have found that I can get so much more work actually done around my house if I have something to listen to and this was definitely worth the money. The narrator is excellent at conveying every emotion possible!
this book has some good plot but the overall book leaves a lot to be desired. The book lacks a good quality, why would you place to best friends with the same woman. calls for a lot of problems. Horrible narrator all voices pretty much sounds the same.
I love to read and listen to erotica all types and paranormal vamps and shifters
I really liked this book and this series. Erin Brown was in up and coming rock star when she first met Todd he was her next door neighbor and he would always stare at her. Erin and Todd began having sex, but Todd was afraid of his own dominant needs and worrying about what people would think so they broke up. Ten years later they are both back in Seattle Todd fresh off a divorce and after being wounded in the line of duty. Erin on the other hand has been through every mothers worse nightmare losing a child at the hands of her stalker. This was a really good book that I enjoyed I love reading ménage. This was my first time reading this author and I have had this book for awhile. This book was an emotional read. Todd was very patient with Erin and I loved how he embarrassed his dominant side and gave Erin what she needed. Ben and Todd have been best friends all of their life and neither one of them knew about the other's sexuality. I wanted more interaction between Ben and Todd they were attracted to one another, but all the did was kiss or touch. Erin is a survivor. She is strong and she leans on her brothers for her strength, although she had a hard time letting Todd in at first he got through. I also love that the Brown's are close and they have really good friends. This was a good book and I am looking forward reading or listening to the rest of this series.
I love Lauren's books and read them all. But I wouldn't recommend books by Ms. Rivers.
These books need a different narrator. Her male voices are awful (seriously, Adrian sounds high all the time).
Don't bail on Lauren Dane just because of this book! Her books are great, and narration on her other series is pretty good. Read this one in paper and pick up the other series here on Audible!
Good Books Don't Promote Violence
All the characters in this book were well written with humor and depth. The plot involves family, tragedy, friendship as well as lots of sex. The narrator was fine when reading the story but really bad trying to create different voices for individual characters, particularly the men.(Lucy Rivers has a pleasant voice & should stick to just reading the words) Only minor negative was the unbelievable part about the 2 boyhood friends were are bi-sexual yet never attracted to each other until they both want the same woman,
Terrible, ruined the whole thing for me. I am going to order the books on kindle and read instead of listen.
Narration was terrible, it is almost like she doesn't know the English language. I loved the story but I am hesitant to order any more of the series because I don't want to hear Lucy Rivers.
