wow this is just a simply amazing book. This book FINALLY gets into the love we have been teased about for so long. What an ending, seriously I don't think there could have been a more perfect ending to this book. Plus as always she has opened us up to more people, more facets to explore. keep up the good work Ward I will be here ready to listen.
everything, sorry but I can't think of one thing I didn't like. I am so glad we finally got to hear the love story we have been seeing bloom.
i could have but knowing I would have to wait for the next installment I tried to pace myself so i will not go thru withdraw
totally mind blowing !
Quhinns induction into the Brotherhood !
He has one of the most expressive voices I have ever listened to ! You feel as if you are actually there in the story !
This is one the best series I have read to date, very well written. and very hard to put down,
after reading book 1 , nothing will stop you from reading the rest of the series,!!!!!!!!!
My favorite things are my family and my books! Depending on the day, not in that order. :)
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I've been waiting for their story from the very beginning! It was worth the wait. To see the two of them grow through the series and become who they are by the end of the book was WONDERFUL!!! Sometimes you wanted to scream at them, hit them, hug them close.....you were always engaged with them.
The most memorable moment was at the end when everything finally came together for the two of them. When they finally admitted to each other that they loved each other.
All of them!!! He was wonderful!
Right up there with all the rest of the BDB books. I have listen to them all and have lost sleep with every single one of them. There is no good place to say " Okay, I'll stop here and pick back up tomorrow".
Love each and every one of the characters, can't pick a favorite.
He just brings it to life. I think the voice he has given Wrath is just downright sexy. I'm certainly happy that he has narrated the entire series. Really throws me off when they change narrators after several book. I have a hard time getting through that book or being able to recommend it.
The characters have been fleshed out so well that you can't help but get involved emotionally. Cry for Zsadist or Tohrment and Wellsie and the unborn young. Laugh at Butch and Vishous going on about the SOX. Root for Blay, that he finally gets what he wants and Qhuinn to man-up before it's too late.
I know "The King" is coming out in April 2014. I seriously hope this will not be the last. I loved the way each book was written to spotlight a different brother while still having enough of the rest in to keep the whole story going, but I'm worried we've covered them all and this will be the last installment. Maybe this one will introduce some new characters we just have to know.
I would and have recommended this series to friends. It deserves to be on the big screens I love it so much
The narrator did an excellent job. in previous books I loved his take on Quinn and Blay and I was not disappointed when they became the focus of the story.
I listened to this book in one sitting and promptly went to the beginning to start again. I hardly got any sleep.
I liked this but it has so many threads of plot going that every time I started really getting interested I got jerked in another direction. She's always done this to some extent but this was worse than most. I like a lot going on but I expect some of those lines to merge at some point and give me more and they never did. There were many plot lines I liked, the romance between Qhuinn and Blay, the attraction between Sailess and the thief....those and other numerous plots were great but there was too much left undone. Drove me crazy.
yes, but this one jumped around to much, hard to keep up with the storyline.
would have been nice to kinda know the premise earlier on...seems to take forever to get to the point of the book, other than its about Quinn.
Loving my life and hanging out with my four grandchildren!
I rank the J. R. Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood series as some of the best audio books you can own! I love each and every story in the series and can't wait to hear what happens next! I would rank these books at the top of my list for "re-listen"!
It is so hard to pick just one character as my favorite, but if I really have to choose it would be King Wrath! In each and every book he has been a powerful, strong, driving force to the brothers. But if you really get into the books, you will find yourself pulling for each and every brother in the series. Even the supporting characters find a place in your heart.
Always Wrath! His voice seems to come to life when he reads as the king.
I have to admit. I didn't know how I would feel listening to the love scenes between two men. Ms. Ward did an excellent job with all the love scenes, and I found myself wanting these two, ( Qhuinn & Blaylock), to get together. The other part that got to me was when Layla goes out to the meadow and Xcor comes to see her. I am hoping he can somehow get out of the wrong side of life and get together with Layla.
If you buy these books, start from the first book and work your way through. They are well worth the price and will not disappoint you in any way!
I appreciate how J.R. Ward incorporated new characters and they all have a meaning and a part to add to the story line in a way that makes sense. I can't wait to find out what happens with Asale and Sola! What happens to Luke, and Leila, Trez and Selena! I really hope there is a book 12 and that is comes out soon!
Live To Read!!!
Since reading the book, I have listened to it 3 times! Growth is growth and love is love. For me this story has it all. Admittedly, I was somewhat apprehensive about guy on guy action, but all of that is second or maybe third to the story. Ward does a great job of making you want to see these two come together.
The best about this story is how Ward weaves the main story with the inter mingling's of the stories of the others. She has a way of keeping you informed that life is happening around the main character story.
I like Jim Frangione's performance. For me, his voice seems well suited for this series.
Ward makes you laugh and cry and cheer. A miracle happens and a strong love blooms.
While you can understand the book without reading the entire series. . . its oh so much better to read the series from the beginning. It allows you to grow with the brotherhood as they grow and evolve.
