A reader of biographies, history, and other non-fiction
The author’s advice on marketing makes sense, but I found his audiobook a stressful listen, as his endless stories, spelled out in a host petty details really distracted from the message. It would have benefited from a much tighter re-write.
This book was full of fantastic useful practical information about how to spread your product or ideas harnessing the power of word-of-mouth.
There were lots of fantastic real world examples as well as many thought-provoking ideas on how to begin to craft your idea and product message.
Perfect for anyone looking to build a platform and stand out from the crowd. It offers practical, social science that can be applied to any product or service.
Talk about getting your products or services out into the marketplace... If you follow the suggestions in this book you're bound to reach a global audience! (In fact, I'm going to do my own little "Contagious" research, use these suggestions...& get OUT THERE!)!!
What more can I say..? Take notes...throw your ideas around with others...&...I'll see you on CNN (getting interviewed on your techniques for getting your brand to spread like wildfire)!
I run a marketing company outside of Philadelphia called Farotech. I write a blog about three times a week and I reference this book every chance I get. Phenomenal.
Great book. Just finished listening to it for my 2nd time (about 1 year between listens). The 6 steps which Jonah discussed in detail have a lot of merit. Simple ideas when presented well can be contagious.
