Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
The beginning starts out with some promise. Getting in bed with what you thought was a boring guy and ending up with sex on a stick. What luck I would think, instead she nags and harps and overall makes you want to slap her. Once she gets over herself the romance seems a little more believable. Not much happens after that, Gabe romances and Ella caves then there's a misunderstanding. A typical romance. Both story and narrator were okay, just not good enough that I will continue on with the series.
I think the reason I didn't care for Elle was the narrator as much as the character. For someone who was supposed to be a "lady," she was actually really rude to Gabe in the beginning despite the circumstances. So I really didn't get what Gabe's random obsession with her from the beginning was at all. Any guy I know would have had some backbone and put her in her place. But a "lady" also wouldn't have behaved like such a harpee. I also quickly tired of the two female characters soundling practically like valley girls. I finished the book but I wouldn 't recommend it.
If the characters were more interesting and believable. I found myself really not liking the main female character.
Not sure, I think that this just wasn't the type of book that I'm into.
Ahhh! Never again! Her way of reading the novel was so difficult to listen to that I didn't even finish the book = (
This has to be the worst book I ever listened to! I could not wait for it to end. The female lead complained about everything and the male just took it. Not just took it but fell in love with her. So unbelievable! Even the erotic scenes were BORING!! I wish I could take back this 6 hours of my life.
Narrator was good
This was a surprisingly entertaining, romantic story about two people who find themselves as they find each other -
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
The good was Chase, he was Hot, all round. The bad was Elle, quite pathetic with her un-trusting nature and felt very weak to me. There were some funny parts but i didn't like the way the story ended so abruptly. Kasha Kensington done a wonderful job narrating and i just love Cabes voice. I will buy the next in this series and hope the lead lady has more guts. :)
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
.lt made me laugh. I wasn't expecting this book to be like it was but I enjoyed it. I do like those books that surprise you.
When Elle got into the wrong bed, the first date, at the beach, and at the tattoo shop. That's more than one moment. LOL
In my opinion it's worth the credit or purchase price.
For being such a prude..Elle sure did take a huge chance sneaking into what she thought was her bosses bedroom to seduce him but wound up seducing his brother.Elle's character was a bit snobbish and fussy.Honestly..if I were Gabe,I would've told Miss Priss to get the stick out of her butt. She's too high maintenance to deal with.But...being a"character"in a book, only guys like this exist in a novel,in reality...a guy would've went sniffing around some where else and rightly so.But this is a romance novel, has really great sexy scenes and a happy ending.I still liked the book even though the heroine was an annoying pain in the a$$.
This story was a bit far-fetched, but the narrator saved the day. Ms. Robert did a fantastic job changing her inflections between the two main characters, so the listener always knows if Gabe or Elle is the focus of the chapter. Outstanding performance!
