I expect the third book in a series to give you real closure for each of the characters. Unfortunately this one does not. Too bad, I was really waiting for it to finalize a pretty good series.
Not quite the ending I had hoped for, but performed exceptionally well. Loved the character development from book 1. Wish the story had stretched out a few more books, or at least given an epilogue. A great listen, nonetheless!
Good book, great narrator. Sarah Drew is now my second favorite narrator (Lake Daniels is a strong first). She does a great job changing small details like rhythm and cadence between characters.
The book is a good, happy, hopefully ending to the series. I even bookmarked a couple of thought provoking passages.
I only wish there was another book. As crazy as it may sound, I will miss the characters in the book. I found myself cheering for them and scared for them. As my fingers can attest, this book is a nail biter. I listened nonstop even though I didn't want to reach the end because it would mean saying good bye.
I enjoyed this series, until this book. I had a horrible time getting thru with this book. i don.t recall so much cursing in the previous books. The end felt force, it felt rushed. Kinda like it's 430 am and I need to turn this in in 2hrs and i need to wrap it up. Very disappointing.
I love reading. For a long time, I snubbed audio books like so many others. How wrong and misguided I was.
I could see myself listening to this again. I listened to it rather fast the first time.
Yes! This was truly hard to put down.
I had heard that this ending would leave me wanting. I felt like that wasn't the case. Maybe if I hadn't been told that I wouldn't have been expecting the worst- I'm not sure, but I felt the ending was perfect for a book like this- it fit quiet well in the fabric of the story, I'm surprised it had as much closure as it did.
But that's all up to the reader, I'm sure.
I felt like this book lived up to the expectations of book one! That's for sure. Happy reading!
This has got to be one of if not the best books I have ever read! The series is so powerful and emotional and truly captures what it is like to fight for something. This was just such an amazing series and am so sad it is over!:( Sarah Drew did an AMAZING job capturing both Lena and Hana in this book. Just everything about it was so amazing and perfect! Bravo. Outstanding.
Audiobook addict but if I go through the trouble to write a review, I must feel VERY strongly about it.
This book switches back and forth from Hanna to Layna. Of course it is good but I personally didn't enjoy it quite as much as the 2nd book. It's always sad when a series ends and I find myself wishing there was more. All good things must come to an end however, and I will be satisfied having thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy.
