The emotions that are presented in this book are so very well written that you can feel where everyone is coming from and can't wait to find out where they are going. The angst and anger, broken dreams and hollow future projected put me on edge and kept me listening. Yet the personal stories and humanization of the futuristic landscape kept it on a level that I could connect with. I found that I liked the changing of the point of view narration, sometimes coming from Lena, sometimes from Hana. It wasn't a story told from just one side or one point of view. It kept the story fresh and pumping.
Definitely worth a listen.
Part 3 of 3 in a series.
The author kept the momentum going through all three books. Awesome job and not a difficult read, so if your looking for something a little lighter this series is a good choice.
I expect the third book in a series to give you real closure for each of the characters. Unfortunately this one does not. Too bad, I was really waiting for it to finalize a pretty good series.
Not quite the ending I had hoped for, but performed exceptionally well. Loved the character development from book 1. Wish the story had stretched out a few more books, or at least given an epilogue. A great listen, nonetheless!
Good book, great narrator. Sarah Drew is now my second favorite narrator (Lake Daniels is a strong first). She does a great job changing small details like rhythm and cadence between characters.
The book is a good, happy, hopefully ending to the series. I even bookmarked a couple of thought provoking passages.
I only wish there was another book. As crazy as it may sound, I will miss the characters in the book. I found myself cheering for them and scared for them. As my fingers can attest, this book is a nail biter. I listened nonstop even though I didn't want to reach the end because it would mean saying good bye.
I enjoyed this series, until this book. I had a horrible time getting thru with this book. i don.t recall so much cursing in the previous books. The end felt force, it felt rushed. Kinda like it's 430 am and I need to turn this in in 2hrs and i need to wrap it up. Very disappointing.
I love reading. For a long time, I snubbed audio books like so many others. How wrong and misguided I was.
I could see myself listening to this again. I listened to it rather fast the first time.
Yes! This was truly hard to put down.
