Love How Emma Acted Out Each Parts!
No Need To Rename It.
I hardly have time to read an actual book. Being able to work and clean house while listening to a book has been wonderful I enjoyed the old time setting of the book an how Emma Messenger Brings the book to life it's quiet wonderful.
Listening and reading a book is the best way to read a book!!!
Yes, love this book narrator is very good, and the price is awesome.
Reading Darcy's letter.
Darcy and Lizzy's encounter after he first proposed at his house.
True love is deeper than his pride and her prejudice.
Every women should read this book, and every man should learn from it.
I have heard so much about Jane Austen, quite a number of my friends would cite her as a favorite author so with those recommendations I have tried many times to read the actual book. I have never made it more than a few chapters in. So I thought I'd try an audiobook to see if hearing someone else read it would do more to captivate me...no!
The performance is dull...Well half dull. The female roles are fine they sound warm and have some depth but when the author reads in a male characters voice she sounds harsh and very off putting, enough so that I want to turn the audiobook off.
Disliking the performances makes the source material that much more boring.
So glad I purchased this title! I am 50 years old and had not read Pride and Prejudice. So many times I started to read the copy that I bought years ago but just couldn't get into it.
I hoped that listening to this classic would do it. I am happy to say that I enjoyed it whole heartedly! I finally "get it" and look forward to listening to other Jane Austin works
I'm open to any book as long as it is true to itself.
This is such an excellent story that I have read, watched and now listened to so many times, but I never tire of this story. It is simply a classic that I love.
I really enjoyed the story, but the narrators version of the mother's voice gave me a headache. Very high pitched louder than the others and gave me a headache. Took me a few different sitting to get through this just because I couldn't stand the mother voice.
The narration. The narrator was able too do several different voices.
Since it is my favourite just about all of it. Mostly scenes between Darcy and Elizabeth.
The meeting of Darcy and Elizabeth at Pemberly.
I obviously love this story, but I found there were times that the narrator (who is generally good) reads sentences so that it was a little boring -- when the narration wasn't a character speaking, there were times (but certainly not the bulk of the reading) that it sounded rote without much thought or feeling for what was being said. It got a little distracting, but wasn't as critical since I am well acquainted with the story. The variation of character voices is good, but the
