I can't think of anyone who might enjoy this book.
Narration was slow compared to how fast the murders were happening
The reporter (Jason)
Just too sadistic .... reasoning behind the murders earlier (other than the x-wife) might have helped. I just didn't like to story. But I did quit reading before that might have come to light later in the book.
Story lline is good, but book is way too long. Very wordie, you get the set up after awhile, but he keeps going. It draged.
Avid listener, former reader. Especially enjoys Audiobooks on long road trips. They help us to stay alert and minimizes arguments.
Alex Cross is becoming a favorite 'must read' for me.
The pace and interesting characters plus the unexpected twists.
Definitely, luckily we listened on a long road trip.
Boatman and Boyer did an exemplary job in creating believable characters. They really brought Patterson's characters to life.
I would recommend this and all other Alex Cross books.
Ava's death. Written so well it brought tears to my eyes.
I don't look to Alex Cross for laughs. I am looking for the scare and suspense. To the best of my recollection this is the first one that made me cry.
Excellent as always!
the story, the characters, good over evil
yes--i couldnt wait to get in my car and listen
i wanted to but had to listen in pieces
please keep alex cross coming and DO NOT let mama nana have to die--let bree have a baby
Yes! This book keeps you on the edge the entire time. Once again I fall in love with the Cross family
Nana Mama. She is such a character and keeps Alex from forgetting what is important.
When Alex punched the hell out of the suspect
I cried. It was so sad when Eva died
great bad guys
Always good crime stories, and great villains. But Alex is a boor. He is continuously doing stupid predictable things that complicate his work and annoy at least one reader.
Too explicit in describing the violence against women. Felt he and co-writer were up against a publisher's deadline. Not a great read.
Boatman and Boyer, yes...Patterson, probably not
I don't think so
No, "Run" was quite enough
Overall, pedestrian, platitudinal, predictable. The chapters involving Ava however, read by Boatman, effectively conveyed to the listener the emotional weight of the Cross family's situation.
This was a really good book. Great narration. Each character had a voice. Great job weaving 2 stories into the main story. Great characters
The end--can't give it away
They make each character unique beyond the change in voice and inflection.
yes, if I could
Keep them coming!!!!
