Hot damn!!!!!!! Whew!!!!!!! I think that sums it up folks. This was a fun and crazy hot story with a broody, possessive, obsessive, very sexy alpha male wolf shifter and a sarcastic strong but funny latent wolf shifter. Made for quite an interesting tale. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Yes. It was entertaiing, the characters were exciting and the combacks between the characters was great. the heat between the two main characters didn't hurt either :)
Probably the moment where the heroine shows her vulnerable side and is grieving.
This book made me tear up and laugh out loud. don't let what people wrote about the sex scenes disuade you from this book. i started with this book and within a week i read everything suzanne wright has written!
I have been reading romance novels for years, since I was sixteen and I'm in my 30s now. Thus, I am used to the sex, sensuality and intensity of great intimacy between characters. This book however, took it to an entirely different level. My husband has provided me with the best sex on the planet but this book still made me say "DAMN!!!" True, Taryn's filthy mouth during sex made little sense to me but apparently the author has her own idea of sexy dirty talk and she stays true to that. What's amazing is how good the actually story is. Many books either have great intimacy scenes where the story falters or a great story that doesn't lend itself to producing a great story. This is usually because romance novels have to walk a fine line so they aren't classified as slutty, too over the top, or inappropriately hypersexual. Ms. Wright found the right balance. I WILL say that the dirty talk, especially all the names Taryn called Trey during sex, WAS a little over the top but it fit the story so it wasn't distracting. I absolutely LOVED Trey, though his mouth got a little outta control too. He was so sexy. When he finally reconciled his feelings for Taryn, it made me like him all the more. It didn't diminish his strength and made him even more wonderful. I loved Taryn's strength, humor and her vulnerability. Her sarcastic wit was hilarious and endearing. She was a great character and I hope that both she and Trey are a part if the following novels.
None. I've read Sherrilyn Kenyon, Laurel K. Hamilton, Shannon Drake and others who write romance/fantasy novels. Ms. Wright stands on her own.
This narrator is phenomenal. He characters have distinct voices and personalities created by slight inflections as she reads the dialog. This is the first book that I have listened to where I have no complaints. She was phenomenal.
Nooooo. I purposefully dragged it out because I didn't want it to end. It truly was a great story. However, when not listening to it, I couldn't wait to get back to it. It really was a great story.
I'm glad that I didn't read the first release of this book that had the orgy scene in it. I know that it would gave ruined how much I loved the relationship b/w Trey and Taryn. I know that sex can be great and I'm not a prude but I wouldn't have read and/or thought it cool that Trey would have watched or joined Taryn while she had sex with others. I cannot wait for Dante's story.
I'd recommend this book to a friend that needs a companion to her vibrator! This book is chock full of sexiliciousness. I'm pretty sure every chapter had the lead characters scratching each other's 'itches' before you were even halfway through the chapter.
Yes, it's a fun erotic listen with great one-liner insults.
Jill Redfield has a great voice for sex scenes. She may not have as much range as I've heard from other narrators; I loved her narration in another romance novel, and her voice characterizations in Feral Sins were extremely similar, but, that didn't take anything away from the story overall.
I wasn't a huge fan of some of the comments the leads were making to each other during the sex scenes, but, overall I came to like the characters by the end.
Stay at home mommy who loves romance of any kind
best narrator I've listened to in a while, she bring life to the characters. This book was well written, great balance with romance and action. Great intro to what i hope will be an incredible series.
I decided to purchase this book for several reasons - I like reading a mixture of fantasy, adventure and romance, and if i can find a decent book I will try it. Second Jill Redfield is the narrator of the infamous crossfire series, which is viciously good she sounds alot like Anne Hathaway which is a plus for any book. Also alot of positive reviews for this one
Of the many mythical creatures I don't find were-creatures to be particularly interesting, so a big negative for me was that this book not only that the universe circled around this group but we don't see the authors take on any other types of creature. But otherwise I loved the main character, her sarcasm at times really made me laugh out loud. Throughout the book, she kept a very realistic perspective about her relationship with the male lead which was always on the more physical side up to a point. Learning about the reactions of their internal wolves made for great entertainment and the structure of their wolf packs and society, seemed plausible for the most part.
I don't know that I would tune in for the continuation of the series 9wolves are not my cup of tea) but I would love to check out more books from the author and would listen to anything interesting with Jill as narrator.
I usually follow authors. I chose this one thinking well.. if I hate it I can return it. I do not give five stars usually. I gave this one five because I laughed out loud several times during the story.
I thought this was a light fun read. Maybe I felt the same with the first Sookie Stackhouse book. A different idea.
The reader was very good, did several characters with different voices and was easy to tell one from another while they were talking in a group. I thought she was outstanding.
This story is one of shapeshifting wolves. Not people that were bitten. So the sex in it was a bit different and graphic and I can see how it could upset some people. My thought was, if I can get through three books of 50 Shades, how bad could this be :)
Perhaps I have a twisted sense of humor but I enjoyed the sarcastic wit and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Absolutely love to read, anything! Well maybe not Western or biographies but other than that anything. Dystopian is quickly becoming my fav!
WOW! WOW! WOW! I really don't know what to say about this book but WOW. It is one of the hottest books I have ever read. The arousal and emotions that the author obviously intended to subject the reader to was a complete success. I absolutely loved the characters and the story. Totally recommend this book to anyone with that savage lying deep inside.
I really enjoyed the intensity of the relationship between Taryn and Trey. The pack dynamics and behaviors were really interesting.
Taryn is my favorite character. She is very strong and knows what she wants. Best of all are her witty one-liners that had me laughing.
Jill Redfield is fantastic! She is a talented narrator and I love listening to her.
I couldn't stop listening. If I could have I would of listened to it in one day.
This audio book is a great buy.
I will definitely listen to this again. It was amazing and funny ... I don't have a negative thing to say about this story!
There is more than one character that I give the title of favorite ... the leading couple is truly awesome together.
I can't reveal my favorite scene ... it would be a spoiler. You'll know once you hear it.
XXX rated but great shifter fun.
If you don't like XXX, don't buy this. Other than that, I recommend it to anyone of legal age.
