better plot, better characters, and not so cheesy funny and trying to force the humor. plus the side characters were ridiculous.
not try and force the humor and make better side characters.
This book had the potential to be enjoyable but to many porn like scenes. They were repeated over and over. Some humorous one liners. I do not recommend unless you are looking for extremely "raw" sex scenes.
Narration was okay.
The humorous one liners.
Should be adults only warning.
I really did not like this book, I fast forwarded most of the book, and each time, it was the same thing. It was a bit too vulgar for me. I think you can be sexy without the characters being so disrespectful to another person. I know it can be done, I love Kresely Cole's book because of it. Just because their wolves doesn't mean you have the right to beat the bejeezus out of your mate
Not this book.
I really didn't like her male's voice. I am not sure if it annoyed me because of what was coming out of the character's mouth or simply it was the voice. I think it's more of what the character was saying.
The two main characters having sex in front of their wedding guests, and the main character's talking to each other.
Writing a book is difficult, and this book may be wonderful for someone else. I bought it because of the great reviews, but if you are even a tiny bit of a prude, this may not be for you.
OK. I have to admit that this novel is very hot. The sex is very hot. The story is actually not too bad for a typical paranormal erotic romance novel. (I don't like formula novels - it's a love-hate thing for me. I am a romantic, but I don't agree with most of the formula story lines and long for stories that are more original.)
No comment, really. It's pretty easy to predict what an ending will be in this kind of novel.
I don't think I've heard her before. The narration was very good.
Um, well. I don't think I'll discuss it in public!
I was bothered by the possession / dominance of the story. This seems to be typical in most romance novels. Personally, I don't get it and I'm disturbed by the encouragement of painting women as being strong ---but in the end want to find a man to submit to and even if they verbally say they don't want something in the end they really do. This one really pushed that far with the whole Alpha Wolf male. I often found myself feeling a bit creeped out.
There was not a decent character in the whole book! The experience was like watching something so distasteful and way out in left field that I could not turn away! All characters were so shallow, self centered, and boring. Some of "sayings" and sex scenes had my eyes rolling so much I developed several headaches!
No but I am definitely not going to read this author again! The narrater did the best she could with what she had to work with but it was so bad I am still irritated!
Maybe if she reads a different author.
Disgust and irritation better description.
i found the emphasis on the heroine being a domanant wolf equating to out and out unpleasentness and rude behavior didn't work for me. also all of the sex scenes were vaguely "rapey" with the heroine screaming profanity during their interactions i never felt like the two characters worked for me. The creepy one liners by "pack mates" was off putting and I really didn't like any of the characters
no probably not
i found the characters all so unlikable that I can't say any of them. it was not due to anything lacking is ms. Redfields preformance but rather the authors work
dissapointment and and overall ick factor
I Wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.
Let me just say, I finished this, despite the incredibly gross and graphic sex in this book. I was pulled in enough by the story being told that I kind of just endured the sex, but seriously? As much as I enjoyed Taryn and her awesome smart alecky, sarcastic comments and her feistiness, and the hotness that is Trey, 'm going to return this book. There's no way I can hear all of that sex again, and it's sex in any possible form. It really was pornographic. If this kind of thing doesn't bother you, you'll love the story, I did, but if you, like me, think that sex should stay between the couple and behind closed doors, AVOID this book, you won't like it. I'm sad to have to give it such a mixed review. :(
Humor. I seriously loved all of the crazy comments, particularly from Taryn and Dominique. Soooo funny!
I had to return this book. This chick/heroine was so annoying. I like sarcasm and strong female characters.... but really???!!!! Always a total complete sarcastic bitch to the point where you can't even like her is a disappointment. Sorry.
Audio books are just my cup of tea!
Really enjoyed this book, love a strong female character with a strong male character. The humor and sarcasm are fantastic and the sex is steamy! If this had been my first Shifter novel I would have been a little lost about the culture, the author does not go into a lot of details on Shifters. If you have read a lot of these books you may not mind, if it is a first for you may be a little lost.
Jill Redfield is a great narrator!
If you enjoyed this book I would recommend Patricia Briggs, Mercy Thompson series.
Reading is a must-have ESCAPE...
Wright hooks the reader right from the outset! Taryn Warner, a latent alpha wolf shifter, finds herself forced between a rock & a hard place by her father until Trey Coleman offers her an alternative. The two hatch a plan that offers each a beneficial boon. Don't want to detail too much... but suffice it to say, the chemistry between the two alphas along with key characters within the pack were quite entertaining. The intimate moments are both written & delivered with the clear intent on arousing the reader. With so many similar books flooding the genre, "Feral Sins" clearly stands out. Expect to put this one on your re-read list.
Jill Redfield delivers a masterful audio interpretation. Redfield personifies both Taryn and Trey with equal measure as the book is written from the perspective of both alphas. Fun, fun, fun reading!
