Love listening to audios.
Taryn Warner is the daughter of the pack Alpha, she is also the pack healer. The only issue with Taryn is that she can't shift. She has the Alpha power, her wolf is there with her but she is unable to shift so her father has no use for her. He is wanting to mate her to another wolf Alpha to make an alliance with.
Trey Coleman is the Alpha of his pack he has heard about Taryn and has his enforcers kidnap her to make her an offer that hopefully will help her and his pack.
The two of them make a very dominate pair and sometimes they had to learn to give a little.
The rest of the pack are so entertaining and make you laugh out loud. Wait until you meet Trey's Grandma.
Loved the way Taryn teaches Trey to let go and have fun.
Very good at the descriptions of each person. Was able to know at all times who was speaking.
I laughed out loud. got really teary eyed.
I usually only listen to audios at work. and when Friday comes if I have not finished that audio I wait until Monday to get back in it. But this one! I had to get up early Saturday and finish it. Am I going to wait to start book 2 audio Wicked Cravings. I am not sure. I need to listen more about The Phoenix Pack .
I love audiobooks!!!
Jill Redfield could read me the worst book on the planet and I'd be entertained. She makes everything better than a writer would hope for.
Taryn. She was funny, spunky, and certainly no pushover!!
Her intonations and embodiment of the characters.
I enjoyed it. It's well written and imaginative!
This little snippet was on Goodreads: Warning: This novel contains an extremely sarcastic Alpha female, a broody possessive Alpha male, bitter in-laws, voyeuristic enforcers, a whole lot of dirty talk, and steamy bedroom battles for dominance.
and it's all true!!!
I love the shifter stories but have mainly listened to m/m shifter stories i the past, but since i kind of ran out of audio books in that subgenre i though to try the "straigth" stories. I liked the story Lines - not as angsty/taboo as mm but thats to be expected. And maybe im desensitized from listening to mm sexual encounters because i was not as impressed by the sex scenes as the other reviewers. Granted, they have a lot of hot sex in this book but i basicly stopped listening and waited for the story to continue. I will probably listen to the rest of the series. Narrator is good, a little anoing during the sex scenes but i dont Think its because she does a bad job, just because the "conversations" during the scenes are repetitive and a lot of High piched "oh yes"'s - not her fault.
I absolutely love this book. Suzanne Write creates amazing characters that really pull you in. I have listened to this book several times and I enjoy it more each time.
It was..okay? I finished it, it wasn't that bad, but I felt like the world wasn't well-developed, too much cookie-cutter real-world stuff just renamed.
And the reader wasn't excellent. It's a pet peeve when they voice things regardless of the actual cues, like "groans" and "growls" just sounded kinda whiny.
I wasn't looking for the explicit stuff, but tried to get past it to see if I could get into the story. It does have a pretty good story to it and the characters are pretty well developed. I couldn't get past the explicit parts though. They were way too often and too long. I stopped listening with about four hours left of the book to go. Maybe if it's what you're looking for, it may not be a bad book for you.
