Ending! Although it was a tough emotional read or listen at the end the author tied it all in so making it a satisfying ending.
The Mortal Instruments series was also fantastic. Although they are both good in different ways, Clockwork pulled at my emotional heart strings more.
This is tough- I thought he did Will very well because of the accent. But since they have switched narrators from book to book you need to get into a "groove" but eh. still didn't change the book quality
ENDING. CRYING AT MY DESK AT WORK. lol
Cassandra write more!! ALSO made me wanted to go back and read the mortal instruments to see how characters from this story affected the future generation in the mortal instruments!
Tessa Gray. I loved how she was portrayed as being conflicted but honorable.
I loved the plot twist at the end. All the times you just wish that something turned out differently, and the author finds a way to make the inevitable change.
The bridge in 2008.
Yes. I've gone back and listened to parts again because I wanted to be sure not to miss a bit.
Well, I felt like in the last five chapters the author could have ended the book. So, I was holding my breath for the end for several chapters. But, I'm glad that she took us through that for perfect closure and really a great ending.
I love the Narrator. I loved how he played each character and he really gave a richness to each one. I'll be looking for him in other books just to hear his performance with the char actors.
Beautiful, Emotional, Lovely
Everything about the book was memorable.
There was not one scene but everything. Even the sad ones.
Will's confession, Tessa' confession, Will and Jem's friendship and goodbye, Jem and Tessa's goodbye
I love this series. Daniel Sharman was a wonderful reader.
A Great Story
I like all books by Cassandra Clare, but this series I felt was much better written.
What a great needing to this trilogy. I'm glad this trilogy had a happy ending because I'm not sure if The Mortal Instruments will. Every character gets the happy ending we all ended, and can see how characters from TMI became the way they are and what they have from the family tree.
I couldn't even finish City of Bones (1st Mortal Instruments book). I couldn't stand any of the characters! But I thought the concept was brilliant! The world of Shadowhunters and Downworlders is amazing. So this storyline with that backdrop in London was perfect. Loved all the characters and the recording was perfect too. I just wish the Mortal Instruments had been this good.
This was a much better series with better characters. If you liked the mortal instruments, you'll love the infernal devices!
Yes I love her stories
I would be listening and it would skip ahead a couple minutes or even a chapter. I would go back and it would do it again in the same spot. I was loosening to this on a long drive but had to stop and just read the book when i got home. :( good book otherwise.
The Clockwork series reflects a different writing style than does the City of Bones books. A better sense of scene and character connection. Most of all the voice of the lone reader, Daniel Sharman, is wonderful. His ability to pick up the regional accents and roll off the Welsh is beauty to my ears! Please use his voice for any remakes of the Clockwork series and I would re buy them!
It has a lovely ending.
As above, and his use of timing in pauses and tone bring an enjoyable dimension. In other Clockwork readings, and more distinct in the City of Bones (read by Molly Quinn), the reader's lack of tone and flat delivery is an easy reason to turn off the book, or force your way to the end but not to re-listen again. I've listened to Daniel Sharman's reading 4 times and enjoy it each time.
The ending always makes me cry.
The best reading of all the City of Bones or Mortal Instruments readings.

Stunning, Emotional, Genius
I cannot have a favorite. The writing is so complex. I loved and hated them all at different moments, with love winning the day.
His timing is impeccable.
I would have, and did, waste hours listening to this book. I put off important tasks and ignored my own needs to finish this book.
How do you compliment genius? This book stole my breath, made me weep, made me laugh, and is still touching my soul. Thank you Cassandra Clare...for the whole series. Listen and be moved.
