Cassandra Clare never seems to fail to entertain. Though the story wraps up a little fairy tale-ish as no one is left broken hearted and literally every good possible outcome is achieved it is still a great read through. I'm not a huge fan of the narrator who didn't do a bad job at all, just sounded odd as the female voices and sometimes pronouncing "Tessa" as "Tesser". It is for those reasons I wish alternative narrators were available.
Lover of KH2
The Infernal Devices series is fantastic, but this book is much weightier than it need be. The writer repeated descriptions and conversations so often, I wished I could fast forward through unnecessary sections. Great story, poor editing.
I love this book and series so much. This book was particularly my favorite of the infernal devices and came to a lovely ending. Tearjerker for sure.
I hooked my family, so the preference in the car is a book not the radio
This book made me laugh and made me cry, the love flowing from everyone was just wonderful. Until the end I suppose everyone need a happy ending but I think in this case it defeated the point
What a great ending to the series. ....I love how this series gives history to her other books. The ending was great, I have never cried before because of a book but wow!!! I recommend reading or listening to all three of the Infernal Devices. And you should read the Infernal Devices first then The Bane Chronicles before you read The Mortal Instruments Series.
The epilogue of this book made me run out of the office to ball my eyes out in the bathroom. Thank the angel that someone like Cassandra Clare is writing novels that can touch the most primal emotions within us.
Excellent book! My absolute favorite series. It just got better and better. The narrator was the best narrator I have listened to out of all the books I've ever listened to. I love how he had a unique and distinct voice for each of the different characters. He really acted the scenes out and made the story come to life. He did a great job with the different languages too, This book keeps your attention throughout the entire book, I did not want to put it down. I have listened to it many times and it is definitely my go to book. I have referred it to so many people and I am sure I will continue to. I love all Cassandra Claire's Shadowhunter books, but The infernal Devices is by far my favorite. I love the fact it is based in the late 1800's. She did a great job of describing things and painting a picture of what life in London was like in that time period. There is action and mystery and great relationships and love... so much love. I just have to say the epilog really gets you right in the feels, everytime, So beautiful!
