It went quickly, and I enjoyed the story. I probably would have enjoyed it more had I read it myself.
Now I just have to save enough money and go find me a Scott for myself!!!
Hot and great!
Braden's self confidence and patience. Of course the sex scenes were great.
When she finally accepted she loved him to him
Paula Costello did a perfect job narrating this novel. Perfect. The Scottish accents were excellent and Braden's accent was so hot. It made this audio book. I think I kind of fell in love with Braden just because of the narration.
I loved the story over all as well. Very intense. At times, funny.
I really enjoyed this book and it's narration. The characters were very real and complex. At times I wanted to smack Joss and yell "Get over yourself." But, I'd like to do that to some friends as well sometimes. So, it was really interesting. Characters were likable. It was just well written and the narrator captured each character perfectly. Really well done.
Enthusiastic listener =)
I truly keep my 5* for the OUTSTANDING book/reader combos only. That being said, my 4* are for the greats....and this is DEF one of them!
It's a fantastic story, a fantastic reader, it kept me up all night and then I wanted to hear it all over again in case I missed something.
I fully recommend this one, credit or no credit, I would totally get it!
The Back and forth
EVERY SINGER ONE!
Paula Costello!!!! WOW!!!! SHE WAS FLAWLESS!!!!! The Way she switched back and forth between characters was WOW!!!! The Pitch and Tone of her voice was amazing, Her Scottish accent was simple SPECTACULAR!!!!!! Please listen to this book... P.S Ladies the sex scene are very real
I have to say WOW! I found some parallels between Jocelyn and Nicki from the Stark Trilogy. Jocelyn left the US for Scotland to leave her past and her tragedies behind her. She meets her new roomate's brother and the sparks fly. However, Bradon isn't content to let her hide behind her walls. Jocelyn really puts a fight about even getting involved with Bradon, there's plenty of sexual tension and drama. If you liked the Stark Trilogy you will like this book also. The narration was excellent. This book is for adults only. Worth the credit or cash.
Loved the narrator and the strong emotional tie of the characters
Loved the hero and the narrator makes it come alive!
Mom of 3 saved by her audiobook addiction!
yes, I love Paula Costello, she brought the book to life. Great accent, and perfect read of wit, and sarcasm. Not a dull note.
Hard to pick between Joss and Braeden. I loved Joss for her strength, and stubbornness, and her humor, but I loved Braeden, for his sexiness, and his love for Joss
In the beginning when she walked out of the shower, you knew it was just the end of both of them
I listen to audiobooks everyday! I love them, and I even listen to them more than once. This book I completed, and had to listen to again right away. I could not get enough of the story, the narration, the accent. It is just a great book. I know the author has other novellas, and stories. I just hope they have another book about Joss & Braedan, and a longer book, not a novella, about Els and Adam.
Mostly YA Book Obsessed!
Paula pulled off the characters accents and personalities perfectly!
Jocelyn and Braden, I loved the way they worked together, even when they didn't.
Braden. Paula makes it easy to forget that she's narrating his voice too.
It took me a while to get through this but only because this was one of my first audiobooks and I was still getting used to them. I can see myself listening to this in a day of I were to hear it again. Which I plan to.
This is one of those books that I’ve had for freaking ever! I’ve been wanting to read it but it kept getting pushed down my kindle. When Megan told me to try out the audiobook I knew I had to try it because her recommendations haven’t let me down. My last two experiences with audiobooks weren’t that good. (Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince) It ended up taking me almost 3 weeks to get through each one! I was immediately hooked on this story and I finished this one in two days. I’m mentally kicking myself for not reading this one sooner.
After Jocelyn’s parents and sister die in a car crash, Jocelyn grows up in the foster care system. Years later, she ends up in Scotland and is looking for a new roommate. She ends up living with Ellie who so happens to have a super hot older brother, Braden. After several chemistry-heavy encounters, Braden proposes for him and Jocelyn to have a no-strings attached relationship for three months. It takes some convincing, but Jocelyn ends up agreeing, especially since this actually ends up working in her favor seeing as she doesn’t attach herself emotionally to other people.
After their first time getting it on, it’s clear that this no-strings attached deal isn’t going to go as smoothly as they hoped. For one, Jocelyn freaks out when Braden tries to cuddle after sex. The horror! She doesn’t understand why Braden wants to spend the night with her or take her out on a date. I love this about her! I love that it was the guy chasing after the girl. I loved that he had to talk her into things, calm her down and even trick her into taking her to dinner. Just when Jocelyn starts to realize that she has real feelings for Braden, she is reminded of how fast she can lose the people she loves, which causes her to push away not only Braden but Ellie as well. But Braden isn’t giving up on Jocelyn and he isn’t going down without a fight. This made me love him so much and only added to his hotness factor.
I hate to admit that it took me a little while to get used to the accents on the audiobook. I’m one of those weird people that does not like accents and does not find them sexy (except for Ed Westwick). I do think that the narrator did a fantastic job with them but when I first heard her Braden and Ellie voices, I couldn’t help but think of Brave. I’m so glad I finally read this one. It was funny, emotional and so freaking hot! I loved the secondary characters (Ellie and Adam) who ended up stealing more than a few scenes. I definitely plan on continuing with the Dublin series!
