Funny, sexy, emotional.
There are a lot of "girl with tragic past meets alpha male and .... " books out there, but Joss and Braden have very believable chemistry. Braden is strong without being overwhelming and stalkerish like some other male characters in similar books. You will love him immediately.
Her transition between characters is seamless. Her Joss is perfect, sarcastic with hints of vulnerability.
The prologue perfectly sets up the story.
The book exceeded my expectations. It's fun and refreshing and a wonderful style of writing. The narrator gave the book the justice it deserved and added to the quality of the book. Quite often I'm unable to complete a book because of the narrator.
This really have become my favorite book so far. I've seen this book for awhile and was skeptic and I'm so sorry that it took me tis long to read it.
I keep see this book and for some reason I just never could bring myself to get it. I was totally in a rush and it yet again had shown up in one of the suggestion lists on the first page. I am so glad I got it could not stop listening. Samantha Young did a great job.
Loved the Irish accents in the narration. Paula Costello did an excellent job. The story was sexy, but predictable. Boy meets girl, girl has issues, attraction builds, girl denies her feelings, boy chases, etc., etc. The characters were interesting, but not complex. Plenty of emotional ups and downs, humor and a little angst.
Reformed Tom Boy
So an immature brat is a bitch to a wonderful and understanding man for months, then dumps him. And we're supposed to root for the selfish chick to get the guy?
I love to read southern fiction, family sagas, romance and a bit if fantasy
Easy to care about these characters. Enjoyable plot also.
The main character was easy to like and root for. You wanted her to find love.
The inflections she put into the book were great. Easy to listen to.
Close to it.
