Am a book reader who have to many books and to little time to read them. I love humor, slow burn romance, and fast pace story.
what I always say is how Susan Ericksen give the characters life and personalities. Plus J.D. Robb can really write memorable characters and addicting stories.
Any book where an accountant ends up dead because he/she was not in the right place. Then we have corrupted businesses and a cop who wont stop.
I've listened to all the ones she's done for this series and am still in love what she brings to these books.
Eve catching a little boy who was thrown at her when she was perusing the bad guy. It would have made anyone in the NLF proud. Also at the premiere of the Icove book and that ending. Such a typically thing that I don't get tired of.
I love this series. It's so well performed by Susan Ericksen, with each character having a distinct and appropriate voice. Her nuanced voicing of Roarke alone, is enough to make you want to listen multiple times. Add in Eve, Peabody, Ian and the rest of the crew, and it's very entertaining, even if you know the story.
This one took a while to figure out, then the chase was on to get the bad guy. As usual, it was an intense situation at the end. Plus, you had the fun of the premiere of the Icove case movie and Eve's flummoxed reaction to getting all dolled up for the premiere.
It's impossible to pick just one. All the regular characters are favorites. Of the characters specific to this book, I'd have to pick Milo the hacker. The scene with Peabody and her certain body parts getting him to open the door to his house was hilarious.
I loved the end when Eve and Roarke are looking at the picture of the two of them where she has the black eye and he has the bruised knuckles. Eve saying she wanted to get a copy and put it in a frame on her desk was a rare personal moment for Eve.
Can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.
First time I have ever stuck to series with this many books. The narrator is good at telling stories with the fluctuations of her voice. she can paint a realistic picture. J.D. Robb is the whole package writter. just a bit of everything
Another good story and the acting is excellent, easy to follow and kept me totally interested, could hardly stop listening.
I love the way the characters come alive. The imagery is so good you can actually "see" the action as it happens. And it was so very smart the way the action mixes to give an exciting ending to the Icove Agenda movie, and to the actual case.
Eve does it again, with the help of her entourage. Erickson is Eve, and Peabody and Route and...such great narration.
I love love love every book by J D Robb. I am not crazy about the person narrating the books. But that is OK because I love books written by Nora Roberts. what a talented writer.
