Paranormal-urban fantasy book lover!
I just finished up with the entire series, I read them one after the other. This book is along the same lines with the other books. Same formula different characters and settings. Before I go back and review the other 35 books in the series I just want to say that this series has not gone stale for me at all. There are a couple of disappointing books in there but with 36 books out there that's saying something. Overall I love this series and I DO recommend this series for any crime procedural/romance book lover.
If I'm being honest I received the first book as a gift and was not sure i would like it because I am more of a fantasy/scy fi lover. But this series definitely delivers and with a punch. Susan Ericksen does an AMAZING job reading the book and giving each character their own personality which is a hard thing to do.
So I guess what I want to say is if you are burned out on your current genre or you can't find any new books to read, give this series a go. It is definitely worth every penny/ credit spent
Her first book in the series is "Naked in Death"
HAPPY READING! (Listening)
This was not one of my favorites as it was a little slow, but it was still a great story. I am addicted to this In Death series. Can't wait till the next one.
I am an avid eclectic reader.
I started this series because I was curious about what Robb saw as the future in NYC police. It has turned out to be a nice series for a change of pace from more intense books. This story has the murder of a woman Marta Dickinson who is an accountant and sister in law of a criminal Judge. Eva finds the firm she works for are auditors and is soon on the trail of the killers. I enjoy the different types of characters Robb has created for the series. Some are far out such as Mavis, and Leonardo and some of the police are typical such as Baxter and Trueheart. My favorite is Dr Charlotte Mira. The final action takes place at the grand party for the movie about Eva and Peabody. Story has glamour, comic (I laughed about Peabody's pink cowboy boots) action and suspense. I enjoy the futuristic gadgets in the story.
Say something about yourself!
Way up there. I look forward to each new book.
The audio was off. Sounded tinny. Susan Ericksen is great but the recording was very poor.
This needs to be rerecorded. Don't use the sound engineer again who recorded this book.
The narration was horrid.
Most interesting was trying to figure out wtf was going on with all the characters when the voices the narrator chose for each were so similar and contrived.
I would recommend this book, but only after having read some of the others in the series. This book was solid and a good listen, but there were a lot of details that were left hanging, which isn't usual for Nora Roberts. She mentions the villain has a mistress, starts to develop the character and... nothing. The book veers off and she never comes back to it. Very strange for her and a little perplexing, almost as if she changed her mind in mid story. Still a book I enjoyed.
I love Susan Ericksen's performances - she's amazing.
Oh, the coat. The coat. And it did stop the stun.
Susan has become the voice of Eve Dallas. Other series have changed narrators in mid-series, but I can not imagine it here.
Fan of books!
Crime never pays ....in Eve Dallas world
That would spoil the plot!,,,
I am a fan
If you enjoy Eve Dallas, you won't be disappointed.
I enjoy this series, the characters, the stories, always makes for a good read.
It brings the same "keeping u interested" twist and turns.
The reader is very important to audio books, SuSan Ericksen is perfect for these stories!!
