I'll give everything a try
I have to say, this was not all what I was expecting. I thought that this book would be boring. However, the writers, both of them ad the narrator made the book a very enjoyable read. The facts are interesting and it was written in a way that I;m sure everyone would understand without any problem. The theories mentioned in this book is well supported and well explained. The various personal stories of the authors also goes a great way making the book enjoyable.
The narrator does a fabulous job in reading too. He use an easy pace and a varying tone that helps to engage the reader.
Try it, it may be better than you think.
Data driven analysis is good but it contradicts current medical profession arguments about cholesterol hazards.
Lots of controversial ideas
I enjoy reading about both sides of an issue and this is definitely not the mainstream view
assuming their the same... it's a great piece of work - read or listened to.
realizing the actual role and importance of cholesterol and, therefore, the absurdity of the misconception.
exposing the real criminal (sugar)
the overall experience was moving
extremely informative, well written... just get it.
I am electric!!!
This book was recommend to me by my uncle. When I found it here, i downloaded it due to lack of time I had to actually sit and read. Unless you are a real health nut this book is hard to get into. It is very interesting, but I would not say "enjoyable".
Of course people can say there are three sides to every story. Mine, yours and the truth is somewhere in the middle. So, what makes this story the truth? Well, I choose to believe this version. I felt it was well presented, made sense and had information which could back of the facts which were presented. (Some which I found)
There is a part where he explains how to break down your blood work to tell if you are a high risk for heart disease which is more accurate then the basic blood testing conducted now. Do this math on your own and determine if you need a Cholesterol medication instead of your doctor telling you. In addition there are further tests available many of which is covered by insurances.
Great info for anyone needing or wanting to learn about Cholesterol.
This is such important information. It is written in many places on blogs and podcasts and it is still treated as rare and unusual information.
The research is here, the information to save your own life is here, please read this.
The narrator is good also, considering the subject matter, he kept it interesting.
Thank you for writing this book.
I found this book to be extremely informative and enlightening. Many of the beliefs about Cholesterol and health which have been prevalent in our society for the past decades are debunked using actual data (imagine that). As I listened to the book, I found that many of the authors' findings were in line with my own observations about the health & habits of people that I know. The information & guidance provided in this book was compelling to me. I definitely plan to purchase the Kindle version so that I can begin to follow the recommended medical action plan.
I found that the narration was slow and robotic-like. It was very strange. I was forced to play the audio book at 1.5x or even 2x speed to get through it.
This book was very informative and helped me decide if I should take statins. I enjoyed the information in this book, And learned the dangers of lowering Cholesterol to far.
I will listen to it again because of all the helpful information offered.
I don't usually read this type of book, but due to high cholesterol problem, I decided to delve into this one. It was written with down-to-earth explanations which my doctor had neither the time or desire to go over with me. It also gave me other alternatives to statin drugs, which I immediately put to use and seem to be working like a charm.
I enjoyed Wilson's performance very much as he has a clear and smooth voice. He was an excellent choice for this material.
I did....so interesting and easy to understand. I could not put it down.
Very grateful that this book was in the Audible Library.
This book was surprising, to say the least. It doing all the right stuff. Jam packed with useful information, and entertaining throughout. The authors have a great sense for when it's getting necessarily technical, and they apologetically back up and re-focus the discussion.
I really can't say enough good stuff about this book. The narrator seams a natural for the part, and the reading is seamless.
If this subject matter is at all interesting to you... then get this book.
The authors seam to be in the sweet spot between embracing conventional medicine and questioning conventional medicine!
I have listened to other books that, altogether, contained much of the information that was in this book, but non were nearly as comprehensive. It was obvious that much in-depth research and analysis was done by the author. While I was already following some of his recommendations, this gave me a more complete plan, and was much more concise than the other books that I have read on this subject.
