I enjoyed this part of the series. I really get a kick out of the character Marvin. He Cracks me up. some of the things he says. This is my 3rd or forth time listening to this series. I moving on to the next audio book in this series. I believe you will enjoy it to.
I enjoy all of the books in this series. I think the author tends to repeat things too often, like finding any excuse to reiterate that the Star Force Marines are Nanotized. if the reader doesn't know that by now, they shouldn't be reading it at all.
I may not have arrived where I wanted to go, but I think I have ended up where I am supposed to be.
I liked this book the best of the series so far. But I'm starting to be able to regularly guess the plot twists.
He tricked me into thinking that awful Sandra character had died. Nope. The plot on this was to contrived. How the macro fleet made it through to earth was far too convoluted and unbelievable. I'll push ahead to the next book but it appears that the author is getting bored with this series. The writing is getting lazy.
The female characters remain poorly developed and the second scenes still seem a little ham fisted. Overall: meh.
I've greatly enjoyed the entire series this far,. It's easy and fun, like brain candy. Each book makes you care more and more, as if you're part of Star Force, and that you don't know what to do either. However, you're put at ease as you realize that you don't have to make the hard decisions. You know that Colonel Kyle Riggs will make the decision for you.
The performance of the narrator is so captivating that it's hard to stop listening. The book is intriguing to the level of addictive. I have listened to entire series and now doing it all over again. Well worth it.
