No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
Intense, Intimate, Investigation
There are a lot of memorable moments..the first for me was Zach teaching out to Natalie when they were first locked up in Mexico.
Another, but unrealistic was the scene in the desert between Zach & Natalie. VERY hot-in several ways-but enjoyable!
Denver journalist Natalie Benoit and Deputy U.S. Marshal Zach McBride find themselves captives of a bloodthirsty Mexican drug cartel. Working together, they escape through the desert toward the border, the attraction between them flaring hotter than the Sonoran sun. They fight to stay ahead of the danger that hunts them as forces more powerful than they can imagine conspire to destroy them both....
Solid, capable & steady. While I enjoy Kaleo Griffith's work-I have heard others who are more talented-Not sure why all the reviewers are so gaga.
Generally the way Natalie & Zach look out for, and take care of each other throughout different parts of the story.
Some strong language, sexual situation & violence.
This is listed under my husbands name but he never listens to audible books. I'm the one that does and my name is Vicki.
Terrific story and great narrator! Ive enjoyed all the books in this series, but this is the best. Many twists and turns.
I absolutely loved this story from the I team series. For me this was my favorite. The ride that Natalie and Zach take us on just seems to be non-stop. You find yourself holding on through the intense escape from the cartel to the multiple attempts on their lives. This is one I book that I didn’t put down until it ended. You will laugh cry and just fall in love with their story. A good book and definitely worth the credit.
Yes I would recommend this audiobook. Kaleo Griffen gives a great naration to this book.
I love all the characters, I don't know if I could pick a favorite.
Kaleo Griffith gives each character in the book a different persona, I love each one.
I had read Breaking Point and had listened to the other audio additons to Pamela Clare's I-Team series. Kaleo does an awesome job bringing the characters to life adding more drama to the suspence and romance in the story.
As any longtime lover of audiobooks will tell you, a bad narrator can ruin a good book, and a great narrator can make any book seem fantastic. Happy to report, Mr. Griffith is one of the best I've ever encountered. (And I have listened to a LOT of audiobooks in my day.)
I must admit, I was surprised at first when he reads the women's lines in a female voice. (The falsetto made me giggle a little, especially when he does southern accents) but I got used to it in, oh, approximately five minutes, and after that, found myself wondering why all romance audiobooks don't have a male reader! It really adds something to the story.
I highly recommend this book and the narrator. Here's hoping the next one comes out soon.
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
Don't Expect Sleep
love the survival kit list.
This man makes all of the books great. A good story can carry a bad reader. This reader really increase the whole listening experience. Mr. Griffith has a great back up career, he has all the work he wants to take. Sandra Brown, you should add to your reader list.
The graphic violence, was short, and can stay with you. This is #5 and is really more of an adventure story, not a core romance. It grabs you from the 1st chapter and you cannot stop until you finish. Be prepare for no sleep. Book #1 is still one of my favorites as it is even all the way the through. Julian's story is good from part 2. I have to listen to #3 and 4 and will review. this book has humor, but gets eclipsed by the terror.
Ms Clare, may want to get out of core romance and get into main stream fiction like Sandra Brown. This book can get her started. Not the best flow of adding back old characters. This is tried by so many authors. If a book is well done, readers/listeners will hunt more from an author. Authors want to be like Nora Roberts/ JD Rob having 35 books in a series. #1 rule, write a good story and fans will seek out your work. Don't spend so much time trying to get readers to dig out your books.
I loved all 5 of the books is the series. They were all so good I hated for them to end. I can't help but wonder what ever happened to Holly. I really hope there is a 6th book. Pamela Clare writes amazing stories and Kaleo Griffith is an amazing narrator. I could not put the books down. Please write more!!!!
I read the reviews of others and decided to purchase this book. This is the first one I have purchased by this author. It wasn't bad and I didn't hate it but it was very unexciting. I guess I have just read/listened to better. I didn't like the male narrator's voice of female characters and by the end I was glad it was over. It was very typical, boy meets girl, both have emotional baggage and can't or think they can't make it together even though they think they love each other. They leave each other and get back together in the end...happy ending. Don't get me wrong, lots of people get killed and there is a lot of action and adventure (most of impossible except for in your imagination) andit is interesting but not as good as I expected based on the reviews.
More of these books please...as fast as you can!!! Oh, and please the same narrator!!!! Makes a big difference.
Quite simply, I can't gush enough about this series enough. The publishers summary for this 5th book is actually what hooked me to purchase the first book in the series way back when. I am SO glad that I did, because I have been completely riveted to each story so far. I don't know how Pamela Clare does it, but, every one of these books has great action and suspense, and super hot love scenes--nothing extra raunchy, just good hot adult romance. I've fallen in love with every male lead and I love how the character's relationships have evolved. I think I've said in all my reviews, if you haven't gotten this series, GET IT, it's well worth a credit.
