Starts a little slow at first... but eventually picks up. The story line isn't bad. I recommend if you're bored and want something entertaining to read with a little romance and "action".
The first book was enjoyable. But reading this book is an exercise in frustration. The characters go from logical smart to emotional stupid. I was so fed up with the inconsistent treatment of the main characters keep jerking me out of the story into senseless story twists Day goes from a person who is capable and sharp to out of control, emotional. June goes from calculating and reasoning to emotional naive. This is a crazy jumble that destroys the illusion of the world building.
The book ended perfectly! I was satisfied.... It left me wanting to read more. I enjoyed the series. It felt like the author didn't give up and kept it interesting until the end.
Really enjoyed this book, as I did Legend. Marie Lu has been a nice find. Too many young adult are mushy and over dramatic for my taste, but when I find something I can listen to with the kids in the room, I'm happy. When I find something I can listen to with kids in the room and that I'm really intrigued by, I'm ecstatic! Prodigy did have some mild language and a bit of kissing, but not taken to sappy levels. I would let my preteens read this series so far. The narrators were terrific! I love when the story says the character is out of breath and the narrator follows though, little details like that make the narrator disappear and let the story shine.
Avid reader, goodreads-er, & instagrammer who always has an audiobook in the background (or foreground) of her life.
Though I have reservations about the series as a whole, this sequel is just as action-packed and full of twists as Legend. If you liked the first book, you will probably love the second.
I loved it the story has a thrilled to go up and down makes you cry it make you laugh it's a beautiful story I highly recommend it
