Okay I just don't see what the buzz about this book is all about, it's not even close to the league of FSOG and the Crossfire series. Book is well written but the story is mediocre, I didn't find the sex scenes all that hot. I think you can skip this one, I can't remember the main characters names that's how forgettable this book was.
If you loved 50 shades of grey you will enjoy this book. I can't wait until the next book comes out. The narrator did a great job. I would even listen to it again.
I am an avid "reader"- I prefer to listen to books rather than read them due to the added dimension added by the narrator.
Jeez... I thought the Crossfire series was hot. This certainly gave them a run for the money.
The combination of the hot dialogue, fabulous narration by Sofia Willingham and numerous sexual fantasies and slightly kinky sex made for a very hot but enjoyable book. Other characters were also developed, and I was left wanting to listen to the other two books. Which I did. Wow.
I did not enjoy this book at all i just felt that it was a spinoff of all the other books that I have read. the narration was just ok.
Here is a character, Nicky, who is an electrical engineer btw, who melts the instant some unbelievably (yes, another billionaire) wealthy, attractive man decides he wants her. OMG the "erotic" scenes weren't worth the long, rambling passages about how amazing Damian is, he's so wonderful that he is paying me $1M bucks to pose nude?! Please! Do not waste a credit on this one.
In this series we have lots of screwed up people. They shouldn't work together but they do. I like the way Kenner builds suspense & intrigue. I was always ready to make Damien the bad guy for all sorts of reasons, but you will have to listen to find out if he is. Nicki is so broken it's a wonder she functions at all.
All the parents should be publicly horse whipped. I won't pull punches on my opinion of child abuse.
The narration is excellent.
I did not read the rest of the series. The narrator was too breathy for me, and tried too hard to be a sex kitten for me. I found the story and dialogue to be ridiculous even more so than the genre's standard. Everything moved way to quickly- and that says a lot since I think the first 50 book happened in like two weeks. Not worth the credit or $'s.
I downloaded all three series, and I did enjoy them, but I did find that they are similar to 50 shades, except, I think they got carried away with the sex, I do think they could have been more discrete with some of the sex scenes, I mean, I have never heard such vile word's, I don't think I will listen to them again, although the plot was good, the book could be revised into something with not so many sex scenes in it..
CrossFire books. Flawed men who offer the world but need the woman more than she needs them... Yeah, it's the same kind of book. and I am a sucker for that.
I liked her pacing and how she spoke I find many books I can't get into because of they way they are read.
Whenever you have a dominant hero with an unmistakable attraction to a heroine, it's bound to be a good story. Now mix powerful emotions and troubled pasts, with hot passion, and it's a recipe for greatness! I've never recommended for someone to use a credit, but this book has brought me to do so!
A little bit of FSOG, but the plot and dialogue is better.
Her ability to transform between voices without compromise.
Yes! I stayed up all night listening to it.
I can't wait for the next installment.
