yes and I have
tru bennet for loving jake enough to go to hell and back for him to turn his life around and make a good man out of him
I loved the narrator she makes the book come alive
in the hospital when jake goes to his knees and starts to cry I cried too as it was so heart wrenching. The whole hospital segment was so gut wrenching and raw

True Story Book Blog
Yes....I love Jake and Tru and I love their story.
Not for any good reasons...but the Mr. Brightside scene...ripped my heart out.
I loved her accent, she sounded a little too old to really pull Tru off for me and I don't know if it's the recording or her but she had a little bit of a lisp at times - but British accents = awesome in my book, so I'm really just being nit-picky
Just everything that makes Tru and Jake who they are - I just love them to bits and pieces.
Great beginning to a fantastically addictive series - I really can't say too many times how much this book sucked me in.
Loved the story...Not crazy about the narrator. I know this is an English story, but the narrator does NOT do male voices very well. They all sound the same and like they are all gangsters, and VERY bored. I'm disappointed.
Wow Jake ♥♥♥♥
I totally loved this book. Jake is ......
sexy, hot, wonderful and I want a Jake.
At first I wanted to get inside the book and strangulate her for hurting two wonderful man, but then I cried so much that my eyes were burning. This a great story, now to start the second book.
Yes, I thought this was a good read with a good amount of drama.
The most interesting part was Jake and his passion. The least was how wishy washy Tru got.
I loved Justine's accent. I wouldn't have done Tru as much justice just by reading her story.
I can't see this being made into a movie or series, While the drama was their some things were a bit repetitive and Tru wasn't always likeable. I'm never good with picturing stars if I'm being honest. Maybe for Tru Sarah Hyland and for Jake maybe someone like Kellan Lutz.
The narrator's voice was so annoying - similar to nails on a chalkboard - that I returned the book 5 minutes into listening. Thank you Audible for giving us that option.
Will do anything for books!
Great story, tons of back story and in depth into both characters as well as insight into sub characters. I don't really like the whole love triangle thing but it did work. I absolutely LOVED this story. There was a tad bit of wishy washy stuff in the early stages and then some "normal" issues with them later dealing with the whole cheating thing. Justine Eyre did well, of course, she always does. Writing was great I will listen to more from Samantha Towle.
I liked this book for a couple of reasons. There was reconnection from when they were younger, a sweet kind of romance, and a rockstar. There have been a few other rock star book series that seemed a little stronger in angst and story line--that hooked me in a bit more, but I will definitely get Wethering the Storm and see what happens! So, yes, I would recommend this to a friend!
I liked this narrator as Tru Bennett, but the guys voices, especially Jake's voice, lacked a little. He needed a sexy, "I'M A ROCK STAR!" kinda voice, and it was just not there. His voice made me think Jake lacked self confidence (more than what issues were in the story line).
I loved the ending, it surprised me a bit and it was full of emotion (Sorry, I don't do spoilers), but it was jam packed with deep emotions for both Tru and Jake.
I'm one of the reviewers at the Guilty Indulgence Review Site. I am always reading - I don't go anywhere without an ebook or audiobook!
I enjoyed The Mighty Storm which gave a bit different take on the typical rocker romance. The story line was unique as two childhood loves reconnected and tried to make an adult relationship work. With trials thrown in the way and great secondary characters to round out the story, I found the book enjoyable.
Delphina Reads Too Much
I love Samantha Towle and was super excited to see this series available on audio. I love how it whispersyncs to my Kindle so I can listen when it is convenient and read when it is convenient and never have to worry about finding my spot. The Mighty Storm is the story of childhood friends who reconnect and find true love. Of course the one childhood friend happens to know be a mega rock star. There were times when I wanted to reach into my Kindle and shake some sense into the main characters, which means Samantha really did her job and created characters that felt real. The reader did a beautiful job capturing Tru and Jake and made the story come alive.
