Story line was very enthralling, only some minor reality conflicts and paradoxical traps it entangles that slightly detracts from the story, but none the less, this story is worth the listen!
Yes, absolutely. This book was a roller coaster from start to finish. I've read a lot of Tufo's books and this one is by far my favorite. Fantastic job! Everyone, seriously, get this book. You won't regret a second of it.
Sean Runnette is amazing. I am never disappointed with his telling of the story.
a humble, seeking, loudmouth, Jesus lover, and sometimes heretic explores his questions, concerns, and varied interests through books.
I have read most of Mark Tufo's books and I think this is one of the scarier stories. I don't think it will be giving most people nightmares or anything like that, but you will experience a few chills running down your spine ;)
This is the book where we find out that Mike Talbot is split into multiple dimensions - Indian Hill and Zombie Apocalypse. The split is somewhat ambiguous, but it is clear Mike is operating on a different plane than the rest of us. Good read! And excellent narrator!
Tell us about yourself!
I really enjoyed this book. Mark Tufo continues to surprise me. He uses the same characters o er and over BUT the stories are always completely different. This book made me cry, it made me laugh, it made my jaw drop. It was great!
I Love a great supernatural tale, a Love story, PNR, a Cool Mystery and Most Sci-Fi....if there are vampires, weres or witches in it, that's a plus! Basically I am a 40+ y/o young at heart woman rediscovering the wonderful world of books and am now addicted! Lol I LOVE AUDIBLE!!!!!
The writing and the narration of course....lol
Oh soooo many...but when Jandolyn and the baby die...I openly balled like a baby!!
I have said it before, and I will say it again...Sean IS Michael Talbot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cried and cried and cried...almost from the beginning...I also laughed, because Mike Talbot is hilarious!!
This was a great book, I loved it from beginning to end...it ripped my heart out and left me wanting more...No matter what world Mark Tufo puts Mike in, I cant put it down! If you didn't like this book you are truly heartless...his was a great supernatural tale of love and loss...and friendship....I cried so much...I mean openly sobbed in some parts...I wanted to help Mike in many parts...and I also mouthed WTF several times..and screamed NO...Mark Tufo has a crazy mind and the ability to suck you in from the first paragraph to the last sentence...This is one I will carry with me for a while..and listen to again...2 thumbs up and a highly recommend..and as I saw in another review...if you didn't like this book, you are dead to me! LOL
What a great book! I enjoyed the twist! Nice job Mark Tufo!!!!! Have 1 more book to get and then I'm done with all your books...looking forward to more!
This is a totally new type of story than I am used to with Tufo. But I love how he ties in some of my favorite characters.
Lover of books with a good plot, strong characters, lots of action, no whiners allowed, and only a small amount of well placed cheese
I've listened to so many books that it's not an easy question to answer. Sean Runnette was superb as usual, that man has the golden voice for Mike. The story was great and dreadful at the same time. If you have read the ZF series then you are already familiar with the accident. But this version of it turns out very different for everyone. This story was almost painful in what Mark puts Mike through. It really broke my heart when the bad bad thing happens in Mike's life (which really surprised me when it happened) and I'm NOT an emo reader!
There were quite a few cross over characters (and one that had to be the basis for Vivian D) but of course my favorite was Mike (poor poor Mike)
I've listened to hundreds of hours of SR's voice and he always makes the story better by bringing you right in to the story. You become a witness to the story rather than just an audience member.
Mike (sans his patch or his contact), cuz I want to see his eyes
If you are a Talbot fan and you have read Marks other books, then this is a great addition to the Mike Talbot alter ego/personality club.
BUT if you haven't read any of the other books I would not recommend this book to be your first one. Only because you see a side of him that never was.
