"Very Intriguing story"
Good story, well thought out and seems like a very possible computer espionage threat.
The one draw back was Lou Diamond Phillips breathing technique while read the narrative. One minute into this book I knew it was going to be a long haul listening to him suck wind everytime he started a new sentence. The only thing that made it bearable was his character voices which were well done. Also i dealt with the breathing issue by raising the narration speed to 1-1/2.
"best Tom Clancy yet!"
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Tom Clancy has done it again with believable plot lines and realistic scenarios..And as always Lou Diamond Phillips pulls you in with his characterizations..
"I love listening to Lou Diamond Phillip"
Yes
The feeling that you are talking about the hear and now and things that could happen in the world right now.
I just love listening to him, He makes the read very interesting
When they found the pilot and helped him get back to his ship
I enjoy Tom Clancy books and usually get them when they come on to Audible
"Campus Murder, Inc"
Middle of the pack.
I would have made the CIA more of the hero than the campus.
John Clark
Who gave the Campus a license to kill? Oh that's right our hero Jack Ryan. I think Jack Ryan's original idea has gone astray. Jack needs to take ownership of the monster he has created and put it to sleep.
I'm tired of China being the enemy.
"Couldn't stop listening to it"
Tom Clancy is back on his game. Lately I have been dissapointed with Clancy's books I felt as if they were ghost written. This book was the best book since " A clear and preset danger" . The cyber war part was excellent. Im an IT professional and felt for the most part the computer technology parts were believable, I even learned some new things.
This book started out immediately interesting I couldn' t stop listening to it. I felt the narrator did a great job the only thing I didn't like was the voice he used for the Russian.
"One of Clancy's best!"
Suspenseful, intriguing, thriller
All the characters were essential in weaving the story. There was no favorite.
Lou Diamond Phillips is one of the best narrators of a mystery thriller. His pace, cadence and drama are just right. Would love to hear more books by him.
Modern day warfare for the heart of America.
Besides "Debt of Honor" this probably is my favorite Clancy book. The Clancy stories are based on what could be, or may be, right now. That is why his books are so interesting as thrillers. The characters evolution from book to book lends to a familiarity that enhances the story line.
"Engaging Story"
Yes - very entertaining and relevent to todays threats
Multiple charecters and storylines keep you engaged
"Scared the **** out of me!"
Complex story, as usual for Clancy, but I was able to keep up with the plot and the characters. A scary look at the vulnerability of our nation in the internet age.
"Another Clancy Gem!!"
I really enjoyed this book. Lot's of intrigue and action! Lou Diamond Phillips does a fantastic narration job.
"Pass the Mantle"
Jack Junior is earning experience and becoming a serious threat to those trying to harm the USA.
The rescue of the American pilot
Lou is excellent and his voice is pleasant
Kept me in suspense throughout
