as usual, Tom Clancy provides a compelling story with plenty of plot twists along the way that captivates the reader. A fantastic addition to the Jack Ryan series
Storyline was superb and of course Phillips does it again as well as Greaney & Clancy the South China Sea background was about as real as it can get based on today's situation there. The only negative I have is the team six intrusion in Hong Kong if you've been to Hong Kong before more than once, you're understand why but overall I gave it a 'A'
I found Threat Vector to be satisfactory for a Clancy novel but a little unbalanced. 7/8 of this book was the setup and then the final bit to wrap it all up. Usually, that's a bit more balanced and detailed. Overall, still, if you like Clancy there is plenty to enjoy here, but it's not the best it's ever been by any means.
A nice premise to start with, ruined by the unrealistic portrayal of the characters. Too much coincidence. I mean come on!!!! Having the presidents son find a pilot that has ejected from a high speed jet in China? when they both started out near the bombed out place and the pilot ejected several minutes later? Did he circle around? Did his plane stall?
And this is only one of about a dozen improbable things that happen.
I'm just an average man, with an average life I work from nine to five; hey hell, I pay the price
I would definitely recommend this book. It is captivating.
This story has it all Intrigue - Action - Violence - Drama - Humor - Fascinating Characters
This is the first time I have listened to Lou. His accents were spot on. English - Russian - Chinese - Male - Female. Man, Lou was amazing.
I was on the edge of my seat listening to this book. I laughed - I gasped - I held my breath - I screamed and talked to the characters as I was listening to it on a drive back from vacation. I am sure the drivers next to me thought I was crazy.
Please Tom Clancy - I need more of these characters. Loved Jack Ryan, Jr - Gavin - Dean - Jack Ryan, Sr. - John - Adam. Especially Adam and Gavin what a great pair of characters.
