Plot line pulled together incredibly well. The villains were hidden and red herrings offered options until the end. The romance came together nicely and the ending offered how for the characters'future.
I love a good story that entertains and has well developed characters and realistic life situations where good is recognized as good.
Enjoyable characters, interesting plot, not gross. Great reader. She changes voices for the characters. Pleasant tone to her voice. Reads at a good pace. You can understand what she says.
Katherine Kellgren is the best narrator I've headed on audible. Incredible! Story was good, not the best of the mysteries but definitely fun and engaging! Now it's on to the next one!
While the murder mysteries are becoming a tad predictable, the stories are very entertaining and the love interest has finally gotten engaged. The narrator has earned her reputation of brining the stories to life. I look forward to reading the next in the series.
I enjoy listening to this series - lighthearted mystery without too much blood and guts. So glad the Darcy storyline moved forward. Also enjoying the growth of the mother's role. The characters were interesting enough that I didn't miss Belinda one bit. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
Rhys Bowen and Katherine Kellgren make a great combination for this series. I'm starting right in on the next in the series.
Witty cozy mystery with a bang up finale. One caveat: There are too many days and murders along the way. The denouement is one of Bowen's best,
Kellgren! Her narration makes the characters come alive. Her mastery of accents is unbelievable. The book is worth it just to marvel at her performance, But there's a book here as well... And it's a very good one. A fun Christmas whodunit, without any feeling of predictability. Well done Bowen. But let's face it - the real star of this book is Katherine Kellgren.
