it was very interesting and exciting book to listen to.
The leading lady.
I would recommend this to spy fans.
This was a light, entertaining story, perfect for the holidays. Great diversion for holiday stress.
Great performance ! Katherine Kellgren sounded like she was having fun with the narration.
I love to read, fly and play tennis. I always have a book and an audible book going at the same time. I'm a mystery/thriller junky.
This series is one of my favorite fun mysteries with a wonderfully, easy romantic side to it. Some people say you can read this alone, but I strongly recommend you start at the beginning. Each episode is it's own "who done it" mystery, but the romantic thread starts with #1 Her Royal Spyness and has basically taken over, at least for me. I know there's going to be a murder & Georgiana is going to help solve it but I never know what's going to happen between she and Darcy which can be as much of a mystery as the murders themselves. As usual this murder(s) is well planned and very clever fitting right in with the Christmas season. Georgie comes close to losing her life in the process of catching the killers and Darcy is there for her in the end. Speaking of the end, I think it will be my favorite of all the series endings ever, at least Chapter 41. Rhys Bowen will have to go some to top this one for me. I sure hope she's not finished with this series yet. One more after this is all I see right now. As much as I love the story line, Katherine Kellgren makes it all the more enjoyable. I don't know how she does it, but she is wonderful as the narrator.
Mother of three wonderful girls! I love to listen to audiobooks during my commute. Love to hear about any good books.
This book turned out to be much better than I thought. It was a good fun story. I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times while listening to this. This is the perfect light read.
This is a great, lightweight audiobook.......There's the collection of unrelated guests at a traditional country Christmas in a quaint little English village -- a perfect place for fun, romance, mystery, and murder. Katherine Kellgren again does a great job voicing all the characters and bringing them to life, and there's enough familiar in the story to keep regulars happy and enough different to keep it from being too familiar and boring. I think Rhys Bowen struck the perfect chord on this one.
Funny, lighthearted, truly enjoy this series
Gerorgie......Her grandfather - really all of them are well developed characters....Darcy
Queenie always doing everything wrong but showing up when its important.
Reminds me of a female Columbo, not quite put together, everyone overlooks, but he likes it that way, because in the end you realize just how smart he is.
I love the evolving plot between Georgie and Darcy!
Darcy finally telling Georgie he loves here.
I love all the recurring characters but Georgie is my fave.
The holidays have never been so dangerous.
Can't wait for the next book!
This cozy mystery series is well worth your time and money/credits. The reader, Katherine Kellgren, is fantastic and does a wonderful job bringing each and every character to life-- including the men (which is tough for many women readers to do). The mystery is intriguing and the characters are fun. I have not been disappointed yet by a single book in the series. This one is just as good as the others, but definitely read them in order.
Yes, kept me interested.
It was good
Crazy forest lady,
Liked the different people in the staying in the house for the holiday.
Yes, absolutely. It was fun to listen to. It had a dash of romance, too, which is just my thing.
I can't say without a spoiler. I did enjoy the moment when Georgie figures it all out.
Always Georgie...and her mom.
It made me laugh constantly but I was a slew of emotions. I'm sure anyone watching my face while I listened would have been humored by my expressions.
This is my favorite Royal Spyness mystery so far and I was sad when it ended. It's cute, quirky and light...the perfect vacation for my brain.
