The overall narrative could have been more consistent. Even if I dislike the story, if it had been told without so many "about nothing" scenes.
My next book will be the first book of the "Legend" series.
Yes. This particular one had a weird hollow echo. The performance might have been affected by the fact that the story was terrible.
Anger and dissappointment.
It inspired me to roll my eyes at all the sobbing and blushing. It got old real quick.
The narration was horrible at the beginning. It was flat, I just imagined someone reading me the book instead of the characters coming to life. Once she got going it was great.
I'm a sucker for rock star romances, this showed up on the $4.95 deal so I decided to pick it up. There was so much sobbing and blushing in this book, I wanted to scream! It got so annoying. Kellan has threesomes and I found it hard to believe that Kellan, Mr. hot rock star and man slut, would wait for Kiera to decide between him and Denny. Kiera scolds him for using the F*** word???!!! Seriously??? I felt really bad for Denny, I hope he gets his happy ending eventually.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews. There was quite a bit that could have been cut out of this book and it would have made it so much better. If it was the book instead of the audio I would have skimmed the pages, or skipped to the end to find out what happens. That being said, I love Griffin and Anna, they make me laugh. There was enough good in this book that I have already purchased the second one. We'll see if I make it to the third.
All business but contemporary fun!
I haven't read many books about love triangles. While this book started off well, the main girl kept going back and forth and back and forth between the two guys, hurting both of them so much, I was actually convinced she didn't love either. It was too long and at the end when she "choses" the one guy, I still have a hard time believing she cared. After hurting someone that much, its impossible to reconcile. Thats just my opinion. Very bizarre feeling. Yet I kept reading it all the way till the end, thus the 2 stars and not one.
I like to read VERY much .. I'm obsessed with reading I don't have time to actually read a book so I've been a listener for three years now
the narrator was a bit stiff .. and the story is just one hell of a mess
yes .. I don't like books about cheating and affairs it just turns me off so bad
Maybe .. I will listen to the second book in this series ( sadly )
I would re-write the whole story with the same hero .. Kellin is soo cool .. Kiera is the b*tch in the whole story
The writing style is soo good but the story is so messy and annoying
I'm a 31 year old momma to two amazing young men, wife to the greatest guy on earth, a multiple sclerosis survivor and school bus driver!
Ugh what a waste! This book could have been about 6 hours shorter and a lot less immature. How does someone playing two men not know what a mess they're going to cause? And, though I understand this was about college aged students, how much more immature and indecisive can you get? Kierra is definitely "thoughtless"! Not my cup of tea . . .
Moved to Tyler, Tx
Yes I was very turned off by the heroines indecision on which lover she was going to choose! The narrator was good but the recording was awful, she sounded like she was in a tunnel and there was a lot of background noise.
I can't think of any.
She spent too much time on the build up of sex scenes and then they weren't very good, not enough detail for me. Just like oh they slept together and she had an orgasm.
Say something about yourself!
No but I will never buy a book with his narrator
Coulnt finish it have to buy the book to read it
Im very disappointed in the book in could not finish it. The narrator was horrible.
i don't know a man alive that would put up with this girl's... issues.
i think my reaction to her being kicked in the head pretty much summed up my feelings for this book. i actually hoped it knocked some sense into her & would FINALLY put an end to her wishy-washy decisions. at times i felt like my 6 yr old had a better grasp on her emotions than this chick. no body is that oblivious.
Och... Thinking this to be of the same genre of 50 and Love Unrehearsed. It did not work out for me.
Both Kellan and Kiera are thoughtless and that includes Danny too. Kiera could have ended her confusion but she just simply can't. And how could Danny not sense what's happening with them? Their choices were so frustrating that I dragged myself into listening until the end of the audiobook painfully.
I have to justify my credit for this listen but sorry to say, I was also Thoughtless, I could have used my credit for a better listen.
I can't tell what was worse, the narration or the plot/main character!? I couldn't even get halfway through part 2... Waste of money. Also I'm Australian and one of the main characters in the book is Australian and the narrator puts on the worst Australian accent I have heard- it's offensive.
Definitely not, I haven't even been able to finish this book!
Maybe, I'd hate to discount her completely because of a poorly executed story and characters.
The heroine was so painful and annoying! All she did was whinge! I've never read or listened to a story with a more dependent, needy and selfish heroine! I wanted to slap her!
