No....I hope people don't think this is okay-to treat this woman like this. Sure Taryn jumps to conclusions a lot, but mostly she puts up with a lot of crap and gets very little sympathy for it. She should of told Ryan to f-off along time ago. He hides their relationship from the world and lets his publicist, agent, and the public at large think she's nothing and allows the world to believe he's hooking up with someone else. He makes her wait across the street and watch him schmooze with his co-star who is in love with him. He expects her to be okay with watching him kiss his ex-girlfriend co-star day after day. But when he has his jealous fits over nothing (as far as he knows) he tries to control her and the situation to make him feel better . He was such a manipulative, narcissistic jerk and by the end of the book I was sooooo hoping she would dump him and make him gravel a little.
Not made Taryn such a doormat.
None, but it wasn't the narrator's fault. I even hated Taryn's best friend, Marie--a lot!....if she was my best friend and she slapped me knowing what I'd been through that night I would have punched her in the face and fired her from my bar.
Not really.....it was sooooooo long. I feel the editor could have cut the book down by 1/3 and still told the same sexist story.
wow, what a romance who would not fall for Ryan and Taryn's hesitation, it has everything loved it. The narrator did an amazing job.
I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Reasons: It was too long and I got bored. There is one love scene in the entire book - so not steamy enough. I liked the characters, loved the narrator. It could have been a great book -- the beginning of their love story was entertaining...but the last 1/3 of the book was just disappointing.
Love never dies, just changes form~Nikita
The Effortless Series and the Forever Black series.
When they first meet. The HUGE favor he does for her. Their first fight. The first time they make love. Their sacrifice to be together.
This series really tapped into why fans drive famous ppl to pills, booze, hard drugs and suicide.
If there was actually a story line.
Narration was fine
The plot was different , I could see where it could of been made very interesting.
This book is below YA, way too immature for my taste. Tarren was so selfish and pathetically uncaring about Ryans fans to the point it made me mad. Big slap in the face to any young reader who has a crush on a celebrity. Poor poor Rich beautiful people - its terrible you have to put up with people adoring you! Made me wanna puke!Hes a gorgeous actor, shes a gorgeous pub owner who also happens to have several other business going and a gorgeous home with a incredible roof top get away and never has seen one of his movies... umm this is a cartoon ..nothing realistic about it!
Of course I would. First of all, the story was great and definitely kept you wanting to listen more and more. Secondly, the narrator was amazing and did a great job with the characters throughout the book. And finally, the love story between Taryn and Ryan was beautiful.
I would have to say Taryn because she was such an honest, independent and realistic character. She never steered away from her morals and roots, which made me resonate with her.
No, I have not, but she's a great narrator! Especially when you have to incorporate a male voice as one of the main characters...it's important to listeners that it sounds as realistic as possible and not fake and she did a great job at this.
I actually experienced both. The story was not one that's too realistic as how often does a celebrity walk into a bar you own and fall in love with a normal pedestrian? But, it does allow you to dream and hope that this might happen. The characters were pure and fun to get to know better. It was a great journey and I really enjoyed the love story as well as the ups and downs between Taryn and Ryan.
I absolutely loved, loved this book! I listened to Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed back to back and was still sad to see it end. What wonderful writing!! I felt like I knew these characters and looked forward to every moment I could listen. The narrator, Madeleine Maby is fantastic and made the words come alive. I can't wait for the next book by this author. Thank you for the fun journey Ms. Reber.
The h is an average 20something, and H is a star. I loved how normal h was in the beginning, mocking the crazy fan girls. Gradually, she became hysterical and irrational, just like the girls she mocked in the beginning. If I were the H, I'm not sure I would have stuck with her. If the last 1/3 of the book went away, I know I would have been a happier reader.
I would not recommend this book to anyone. The book was slow and boring. The writing was comical even when it was trying to be dramatic. it was slow and boring. I like the narrator but even her performance can't safe this book
