Love the continuing stories of Clive Cussler's characters. Have read many of his books, they always keep you wanting to read on.
Have listened to three of Mr. Cussler's books all read by Scott Brick. He reads like he is there.
Well worth the time.
A Lot of people talk about Clive Cussler but I love his works. This story falls right in line with the rest of the Pitt books. I enjoyed the story line as well as the narration. I will continue to purchase his books.
All the action but especially the interaction of the characters and the trust between him and his girlfriend
It started slow but gather speed...This one for the collection. You will not be disappointed.
Yes because its classic Cussler at its best. Real characters and real situations!
Yes.Scott Brick is one of my favorite readers.
I have read almost all of Clive Cussler's books, and this is the only one I haven't really liked.
Cussler's characters are always very sharp and alert, or at least they have been until now. Most of the key figures in this book repeatedly walked stupidly into risks that they would never have in past books. It was as if they were all rank beginners at their jobs again. The parts of the story that were the most unbelievable were the ones that should have been easy to fix.
Not a good one.
I don't know what went wrong with this book. I have loved all the other books by Clive Cussler, and I will continue to read any new books he puts out, but I was very disappointed by this one.
In my opinion, Cussler gets a lot of undeserved praise for his novels. The plot nor the characters really kept my attention. The story was predictable and unoriginal. I've loved some movies that were based on books by Cussler, but this story just didn't have the intellectual depth I desire in an audiobook. Scott Brick did a fairly good job with a boring story.
I have loved Clive Cusslers work for years. I own every Dirk Pitt book and now audio lol. The series has its highs and lows but highs are clearly where this book should sit. I didnt find myself liking Summer and Dirk Jr at first (when they first appeared in Valhala Rising and Trojan Odyessy) but I am finding them more tollerable. If you want a great adventure read you cant go wrong with this Dirk Pitt book. My only complaint would be that Al is getting the backseat treatment instead of the partner he has been in the past. But its still a damn good Dirk Pitt adventure!!
yes, good plot, good writing style with good narration
yes and no, with Clive Cussler syle of writing you know who the "Bad" guy is, but, I like the way he blends in the other storyline
brings characters to life with using different voice tones
Cusslers Dirk books are like an American 007. Wuold use espinoge as tag line
This was a great novel. So many parts to the story. A book I couldn't stop. The narrator was excellent.
When the Captain was named Clive Cussler.
I could listen to him all day.
I didn't want to stop listening to this one.
I now will go back to all the Dirk Pitt novels recorded by Scottt Brick.
