This book was ok. There were a lot of predicable clichés here and I didn't really feel like the characters had any personalities, or at least not people I would relate to or want to hang out with. I have read others in this series that were much better. With that being said, the pace of the book was good, it was well written and all lose ends were tied up.
I love the story line and the who-dunit
I just didn't like the narrator. She just wasn't believable. I have tons of books on audible and there are some narrators that make me feel I'm living it with them. Then there are some where it's...like they are reading the phone book and trying to make it interesting. I want to read the other stories, but I think I will actually read-read them.
Yes I did sit and listen to it on a regular basis. It makes work and chores go by faster.. and to tone out my kids.
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
I don't know that I will continue on with the story....it is very typical but with a different state, professions and storyline. Kaleo is very unique, there are times when I like him and times when he is a little creepy.
I usually rotate between thriller/mystery, romance/erotica and supernatural. I have Hostage and The Tin Collectors in my library waiting for download and about 75 in my wish list!
Yes, he did a good job with pace of the story it's just some of the characters he portrays.
It could have a lot of follow-ups but did have a nice conclusion tying up the loose ends if this manages to be a 1 book series.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I don't get why all the 5 stars? Yes Kaleo Griffith is an awesome narrator.. but I don't see what the rave is about. I am pretty bored. Maybe b/c I am more of an erotic or paranormal romance listener/reader...but I didn't even finish... I kinda skipped to end just to see what happen.
Maybe a credit, if waiting for something else to come out... but I honestly can't recommending because I literally skipped to end.
Love Romantic Erotica with a twist , thrill, suspense and a great story !
Loved the story, the investigation, the fear , just enough passion, and great ending !!
Another series with the drama and passion ....like that there is an actual story behind it.
Narration was ok .....not a real big fan on the male voice trying to do different females, however realistic passion for a realistic couple ! Worth a credit...onto the next book
Less explicit sex...it would have been a great book without that!
I enjoyed the suspence and romance just not explicit sex.
This series is one of the few that gets better with each book. I’m very glad Pamele Clare stayed with Kaleo Griffith throughout, he brought the stories to life.
Yes I would! Awesome story, exciting! Kaleo Griffith....reading it to me, well I think I need to fan myself!
I loved Reese..
Great writing as usual and awesome narration!
I love Pamela Clare's books.....I - Team is awesome and Kaleo Griffith is the best!
the story from start to finish was believable--no fantasy or sci-fi or mental mix-up here. Sometimes reality is stranger and more scary than the imagined . . .
two favs: Reese and Cara--
Reese as a man who cared deeply and showed it
Cara as a woman who suffered, got thru it, picked herself up and still cared deeply . . .
Two people who did not run away, or dither about or give up on each other, or their personal causes . . .
I've read these in print, but have to say, with Kaleo Griffith narrating, and his uncanny ability to Get Each Character Right, as well as the complete flow of the story, well, it went from great to-----Spectacular!!!
Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
I read the reviews and most of them I agree this was a absolute treat in every way Kaleo omg I'm in love with his voice, very sexy very hot...the story kept me very interested I'm so glad I was on vacation, because I could not put it down my iPad was steaming....Treat your self and don't pass on this one kudos to Pamela Griffith one of my new favorite writers.
