I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
Intrigue, danger and romance.
I enjoyed the storyline. Politics, cover-ups, danger and a love story thrown in to make it better.
My first listen of Kaleo Griffith and I think he did a very good job.
I kept getting interrupted during this book so due to the distractons I couldn't focus on it as much as I wanted. I can't honestly say if it would of been one that I would of had to listen to all at one time.
I like this book but I think I would rather buy it on sale than use my credit. Not to say it isn't good, but I like to use my credits on the books I rate with 5 stars.
I bought this book on sale. I am so glad I did. I love my romances steamy with hot intimacy and a story with non-stop interest. This book had it ALL! Not only did the heroine and hero interact well, they heated up the sheets right on time. I loved the plot and I loved the fact that the heroine would still investigate the love of her life if she thought he was hurting others. What a strong woman. The twist of getting caught at the end of the book was able to be seen from the first page. It just seemed preconceived by the the author in her original outline and even though the characters clearly did not want to go this way, the author made them do it anyway. The other thing I found a little conceived is that the heroine still was able to write her story for the paper even though she became part of the story. Any reporter reading this story will know what I mean. However, I do want to give this book a thumbs up and tell you it is worth the credit. I plan to read the entire series.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I don't get why all the 5 stars? Yes Kaleo Griffith is an awesome narrator.. but I don't see what the rave is about. I am pretty bored. Maybe b/c I am more of an erotic or paranormal romance listener/reader...but I didn't even finish... I kinda skipped to end just to see what happen.
Maybe a credit, if waiting for something else to come out... but I honestly can't recommending because I literally skipped to end.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I have a bunch of romances that I bought back in 2013 and I'm finally getting around to listening to them. I am starting to come to the realization that contemporary romances are not my favorite. I need to have a little more than just romance to keep me interested. This book was a bit more interesting than a normal contemporary romance because of the whole Erin Brockovich story, but while this is good for a 2 hour movie, the book was a bit long. Overall the story was fairly good, but I didn't love it, I doubt I will read the next one unless it is on a really good sale. Besides a few humorous parts and two action scene the story was a pretty straight forward romance. There were a couple of times where there were obvious errors in the book most were small but I kept thinking, nope that isn't right. For instance being in a hotel room and not having a phone to call 911, sorry this is stupid because all hotel rooms have phones. On a side note, I often wonder if authors know how to use condoms, because they seem to think being on the pill is equal to condoms, with no thought to diseases. It seems that lately I have come across a string of writers who do this in their books and not to pick on Pamela Clare, but she is guilt of it too. I think that if a writer can't do it right they should just leave it out completely. Narrator was pretty good, I enjoyed listening to him.
Say something about yourself!
There was so many. But I'll say the very last line of the buck
This book was awesome it had romance, mystery, suspense, sexual tension between both characters, passion, love, softness
The books title is perfect
This was the perfect fiction piece for me. It had an exciting, intricate plot. Interesting characters to fall in love with or to loathe. And a love story that contained believable tension, not some nonsensical angst. Oh, and sex scenes to die for. Then there's the ever enjoyable performance by the uber talented Kaleo Griffith. This was a win-win. I can't wait to start on the next book in this series. Thanx, Pamela Clare.
I love Pamela Clare books and Kaleo is one of my favorite narrators. I'm looking forward to listening to all of Pamela's books.
Say something about yourself!
This is my first book by this author but won't be my last. I loved the story, the romance and the suspense. I held my breath, laughed out loud and cheered. Great listen.
The book was a delightful listen with its many twists and turns and plot changes. The character development led to strong vivid characters that were easy to imagine. I highly recommend this audio book.
This review is really for the whole series, as I loved all of them. Pamela Clare did a wonderful job developing the characters...both the men and the women. I think what I enjoyed most is that the series moved through the different members of the I-team, while keeping the characters I already fell in love with part of the story. And Kaleo Griffith is now, by far, my favorite narrator for this genre. I love how he used such distinct, but subtle, voices for everyone, so I always knew who was talking. I was so disappointed when I discovered I had listened to them all. Since then, I have been searching, with no success, to find another series with such great writing, strong & lovable characters, intriguing plots, and steamy sex!
