I love that the author showed the characters can overcome heartaches and hard ship especially in this young adult novel. I love Lucas.
Great choice with the narrator. Her voice is perfect for this YA book.
This book dealt with rape topic and I thought the author did a great job working it through the story line. I am glad she showed the thought process of how the character worked through her decisions.
Very enjoyable. There were some disturbing scenes of sexual violence, but overall it was a good story and I am glad I listened.
Surprisingly yes. I found myself listening for a lot longer stretches than I thought I would.
One of my favorite books. This is a believable story with a good message. It shows the human side of the college age characters as well as the importance of taking responsibility for one's own self defense.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Did I just get smacked in face with an unexpected love story! OMG! I really think I did!
This was soo freaking good, I am a little shocked... I totally love, love, love the male character. Like alot. And you know what... I think I really like the female character too. OK... Yes! I totally got smacked in the face here.
The blurp does nothing for this book, neither does the title.
Lucas is a very well developed character, with some very well drawn out emotional issues. Think of a hot, smexy emo brainaic who is popular but very mysterious at the same time. Jacqulyn is the ex-girlfriend of the hot frat boy. I mean this is a love story, basic love story rules should apply... but not really. There is such a unqiue twist to the love story rules that I am not sure if this qualifies.
Having said that, this is a love story, smex could have been better, but it was good for this book.
They are college students, so no real life action, just college drama... but Lucas background is a real tearjearker... and what almost happens to Jackie...OMG!!!
Such a good book. I would not buy this book, but definately worth a free credit. Totally unepected though.
You know what...I really think its the Sands narration. I not sure is Tara is related to Xe, but she does a great job just like Xe... not as good as Xe, but a close third compared to Maby...
Yes I would. I felt it was easily relate-able. Anyone who's had their heart broken can connect with the characters.
The love story between the two. Awkward in their own ways but yet found wonderful things about each other.
The sense of an naive woman and at times the sense of innocents she brings to the character. A strong yet weak person.
It took awhile to get into for me. But once it started going and you started to really know the characters I couldn't put it down. Overall an enjoyable Sunday afternoon kind of read.
This was my first book from this author and I loved it. I couldn't stop listening to this, went through it in 2 days. There was just something about it that just draws you in, I just loved the story and the characters
I am so overwhelmed with emotions. Easy is not only a great book that completely sucked me in, it contains a message that needs to be read by women everywhere. Loss, fear, betrayal, discovery, and love dominate in Easy. I am 100% glad that I read it.
The story starts out intensely, and I mean INTENSELY. I wanted to cover my eyes and cower away because it was just so REAL. The characters all feel like actual people. As the reader, I was able to experience life with them—from the mundane, to the exciting, to the terrifying moments.
Jacqueline is thrown for a loop after Kennedy, her boyfriend of three years, breaks her heart. Mending a broken heart isn’t exactly easy for her because most of her friends have ditched her and she still has a class with the ex. After missing two weeks of said class, she’s fallen behind and is referred to the class tutor, Landon, a guy she’s never met. After exchanging many emails with Landon, she starts to believe that there might be something more to their “relationship.”
Then there’s Lucas, a guy she met on a night she would rather forget. As luck would have it, oh-so-drool-worthy Lucas is in the same class with her and the ex. This just keeps getting better and better. Lucas is mysterious and SEXY, and quite possibly what Jacqueline needs to get over Kennedy. Little by little they get to know each other… this is where you insert SQUEE’s and fanning, lots and lots of fanning.
Love, Love, LOVE this!
"The way he kissed me felt like a brand. Like he was tattooing himself under my skin."
Secrets have a funny way of coming out when you really wish they would dissolve forever. But that’s where honesty can begin which allows you to move forward.
I cringed, I cried, I smiled, I swooned, and I cheered. READ THIS BOOK!
I am a book junkie...I read and enjoy a variety of stories, so please don't "define me" by one book or review! :)
I really enjoyed this book and became invested in the characters and the circumstances they dealt with. Well-written with likable characters who are not without their flaws but nevertheless make you feel for them as the story unfolds. I felt anger toward the "villian" and proud of how the main character stepped outside her comfort level, acquired some new skills and was determined not to be his victim. I really enjoyed Lucas, the way he treated her, and the way their relationship and love grew. The events and the main plot thread are on the more serious, mature end of the spectrum within young adult offerings, and author Tammara Webber pulls it off very well! I thought the narration was very good. Definitely recommend!
if anyone read this you should read this book. over and over again. why isn't this book a movie yet.
Tell us about yourself!
this was my first Tammara Webber Audio and it diffently will not be my last. I Love this book. I've read this book several times already. Sometimes difficult life story happens but women have to stand up and learn how to fight back. This was so inspriering. I Love Luccas.
