oh my, oh my, oh my.. What an addicting series. I just cant stop listening. This book was just as good as the previous. This is Neomi and Conrad's story, gotta love a ghost and red eyed vampire! And the sex?? WOW hot and steamy!! Wonderful writing, characters and story line.
I can hardly believe that this narrator is so good that he can do a female french accent and it sound fantastic!! He has to be the best male narrator ever!!
nope. i love this series, this story was just not for me.
i loved the voice of the narrator but i couldn't fall for the H & H.
i love the series, you shouldn't put the series off !
Not my favorite, but that perhaps because I'm not a fan of Ghosts, i mean they are gone. whats the fun in that? ! haha
that you got to meet the rest of the brothers.
Murdoch was my favorite I loved how he took charge and was so sure that he was gonna bring back his baby brother.
the Lycan he does the best Scottish Brogue.
When Conrad was frantically looking for his mate in the cemetery, you knew at that moment he loved her unconditionally.
There is a long slow story plot that doesn't do anything but follow two bored sexually repressed personalities around a house in their own boredom. The book is flat, there is nothing to look forward to.
No but it may have turned me off this series.
He is the only reason I didn't skip the rest of this book, That and I like to follow a series all the way through when I find an author I like but I think this one could be skipped and never miss it.
Most of them.
For such a good author, this book does no credit to the author or the series.
I have purposely copied and pasted my previous reviews for this series because while they have been entertaining and not to be taken seriously this one is disappointing.
She says - you're so big. He says - you're so wet. etc. etc. etc. Don't forget the classic and oft repeated descriptions of "little clitoris" and "huge shaft". Beyond predictable. The sex scenes in this series are so much the same that they have become dull, colourless and boring. My advice is to leave a long gap between the books in this series and then come back for your titillation fix.
Imagine This! I'm sorry to say that even the narration of Robert Petkoff is becoming tedious. Oh please - not another Estonian accent.
For this one - more cutting and pasting:
Boy Meets Girl
Typical romance story with a predictable plot/storyline.
- Girl meets boy
- Instant sexual attraction
- Both have issues to overcome
- Passion builds
- Hot and steamy sex scenes
- Love follows
- Love finds a way.
Replace boy meets girl with Vampire meets Phantom and there you have it.
I'm semi-retired at 66 and starting a whole 'nuther life making fun jewelry. Loved my career/vocation assessing quaility of care in long term care and likewise loving being at home and tinkerin' at my tinkerin' bench.
You know, it took me a bit to get into this one as I had to adjust to different accents (always done so marvelously by Mr. P). I was just coming off listening to book 6 Dark Desires After Dusk, which I LOVED. Initially, I just didn't get 'Naomi' but as the book progressed, her character came to life so beautifully it was glorious. And, there were some of the funniest lines EVER from NFNix as well as my personal favorite from Mariketa ("Et's put the fun back in funeral). Seriously, the Valkyrie and witches have some of THE funniest lives ever. It's a treat all the way around.
I love Sci Fi/Fantasy books. The very first author I listened to was Laurell K Hamilton. I love audiobooks they allow me the luxury of books without reading since I don't see well at all.
I have not read the print version of this book but I believe the audio version is the best because the narrator did voices that I thought were perfect and the emotions that he used for the characters were AWESOME.
My favorite character was Conrad Roth. He is my favorite due to the fact we got to see his transformation from fallen Vampire to a feeling, caring, virgin lover. It was so exciting.
I have heard almost all of the books in this series and I think he is a great performer. he makes the characters come to life and he makes sure you know the differences between male and female which I think is really important.
yes, I wish I could have listened to this book in one sitting. However I just would have angered myself because it would have ended quicker
I've loved every book in this IAD series so far, but this one was one was close to perfection and had me hooked from chapter one. It had love, humor, action, suspense, and the story of these lovers was just a pleasure to listen to. The other books have been mainly about enemies falling in love basically, but this one wasn't that way and I appreciated the change. As always, the narration gets an A+! Robert Petkoff drives me wild as he brings these characters to life. This series as a whole has become a favorite that I recommend if you're into the paranormal and of course enjoy hot lusty romance!
So many books...so little time! :)
Just when you think all hope is lost for Conrad, who has become mad during his years as a vampire and is being held against his will by his brothers in the hopes of improving...Conrad starts to see ghosts, but not just any ghost...
Enter Neomi, who was horribly murdered many many years ago, and is forced to live with it everyday of her ghostly and very lonely life while she watches the lives of the living around her...that is until Conrad, the first human, or vampire that is, sees her.
As they keep each other company in the house they are both trapped in, they are given a second chance with each other...or do they?...
Again, Kresley Cole has such a way of bringing opposites, or not so opposites it may seem, :) together and throws in a few twists that will have your mind spinning! While, this wasn't my favorite, I still really enjoyed it and got a new appreciation for Conrad, who really seemed like a lost cause. Maybe it is possible that people, or vampires, can change after all. ;)
