One of the best sci-fi books I have ever heard or read. I am extremely impressed.
If you thought Vader was nasty meet Bane.
How to take one sentence and turn it into a amazing work of fiction. My three words would be: Wow. Wow. Wow.
Perhaps Darth Plagueis by James Luceno, as it shows the back story and how things developed the way that they did. However, since fans did not have a lots of information on Bane, it was interesting to watch it develop organically, rather than be shoehorned into the existing canon, although I great enjoyed Plageuis. It's hard to say which one was superior.
The giving of a lightsaber to Bane and his battle with his old battlemaster.
You know the rule, now meet the man.
i wouldnt consider this audio edition better than the print because its missing a chapter or two. theres a gap from the end of chapter 17 to chapter 18 thats not there. it goes from bane going to bed to bane missing with no explanation. other than this the audio is great
where is the part where bane argues with the master and leaves to search the sith temple?
This is the first book I've listened to with background noise/sound effects and it makes it so much more enjoyable and easy to listen to!! Being a huge SW nerd I find it hard to believe it's taken me this long to listen to expanded universe book. Well worth it!
For me it was Banes training on Korriban
The scenes with Githany. Two devious personalities trying to subdue the other
Cry...no. Laugh...yes a few times. Des is quite funny in his gruff personality.
Couldn't stop listening. On to Book 2.....
This book is the essence of Dtar Wars lore anyone who loves Star Wars (such as I) needs to read/ listen to this book!
Of course it was. Never wanted to "to it down".
I had originally started reading this book on iBooks (apple app) and because of Johnathan's amazing performance I had to start over to hear it all again!
Top 5, just great.Never read the trilogy and so happy i could get them on VO for the first time.
Githany, a Sith lords dream girl. Also Bane was great. The way he transfom into a true Sith.
Think he did well.He dident make Banes voice poweful all the time, but it is a comanding voice none the less in the way he speaks.
Just really well written.I enjoy when a novel focus only on a few characters and dont bring in to many side characters.
This is a great start to what promises to be a great trilogy. I have been wanting to read this trilogy for a while but never had the time. I am glad that Audible.com finally stocked the unabridged version.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are a few grammar mistakes. For instance the word dived instead of dove. I found these to be jarring and take me out of the story. It is nothing too bad but I think 5 stars should be saved for perfection.
