lover of good books
This was one of her better ones. She's back! Like the other reviewers, I wish it was a longer story.
I'm a big fan of the Plum books but this one isn't worth the time. There was no romance, no action and no Joyce Barnheart. Maybe 20 will be better.
Just good fun.
It is always good sometimes to just kick back, laugh and enjoy a Stephanie Plum novel. No stress, no fuss and you don't have to do a lot of heavy thinking. All you have to do is follow her from one burning car to the next and enjoy the witty dialog. Just keep them coming.
Lorelei King's performance is always hilarious. She adds so much to any book she reads. I sometimes wonder how she is able to be so on target with all the voices.
Lookout! Here comes Stephanie.
Yes. It is good light-hearted fun and completely entertaining
I end up liking them all. Each character is unique!
I love her range. She is one of the best narrators by far
Ranger. Do you really have to ask
I have not found any of Janet Evanovich's books lacking. I don't general enjoy this type of book, but was very pleasantly surprised with the authors sense of humor and imagination. Listening to her books is pure entertainment. I have listened to the entire series. Janet E. is the type of author who writes books that men should read. Joe and ranger know what a woman wants and needs
I think this book is awesome just as all of the books in the series are (not including the mini Plum books).
I liked the whole story. I think Stephanie and Lula are hilarious and the narration is great. I laugh from start to finish.
Lula of course!
If you haven't picked up a book in this series you should. They all have great plots, character narration and tons of humor. They keep you listening and coming back for more, every time I finish one I can't wait for the next. I wish they were longer.
Yes, love the readers interpretation of characters
as always, never know when something will burn up or what!
The different accents and tones of characters
Ranger, if you have to ask well...........
Have read all her books but this was my first audible. Not disappointed at all!
I always enjoy the quick wit and punch lines.
The characters introduced were not very interesting. Grandma still remains my Favorite.
No,I would always read Janet Evanovich. I have really enjoyed some of her earlier books. I am an optimist.I expect better from her in the future.
Lorelei King does her usual wonderful job of voicing all the characters. Ms Evanovich seems to be getting tired of Stephanie, or running out of ideas for an inept female bounty hunter. I for one am sick of the same old Moreli-Ranger dilemma, and the same old find the skip, lose the skip three times and have Ranger or Tank take him in for you, and the same old destroy the car at the beginning of the book. I am hoping there will only be one more in this series, and it will have a new idea for Stephanie. Choose Ranger or Joe, move in or get married, and I wish she'd bring back Sally Sweet one more time. He/she was one of the best characters Stephanie ever met. Don't buy this book unless you have listened to or read the earlier ones in the series. This is definitely not the best one.
Perhaps the #3 top earning author in the world has run aground with her Stephanie Plum stories. After many attempts to get through this book, finally made it to the finish line. Felt as if I had run a 10K. Redundant story lines with no new characters of interest.
Not sure I would purchase #20. I own ALL 19 and her other audio books available but may stick to her new 'Wicked' series and abandon Stephanie Plum. Sorry J.E.
