a must read for the fans of The Iron Druid Chronicles; that will take you on a journey across continents and worlds bring forth a more evolve and interesting narrative within the series. old alliances broken are reforge as trouble comes at the druids from every-side; full of entertainment Oberon will keep you laughing throughout your listen. excellent Narration by Luke Daniels
I have a 40 minute commute each way and with out Audible, I'd go crazy! My fav genre is fantasy and I love a great series!
I love this series, and Trapped does not dissapoint! Though it had been awhile since I'd last read from this series, the story grabbed me and brought me right back in! Love the characters (Oberon is my fav), and the narration is really really good! If you love this series, this is a must have!
This is a great book. The story picks up several years after the last one, at the end of Granuaile's apprenticeship. It ends with a great cliffhanger after lots of shenanigans from various supernatural beings. The performance is excellent, especially the dog. I recommend it highly!
I just love these stories. Kevin Hearne has crafted wonderful characters and Luke Daniels is better than icing on the cake. He has made these characters come alive. I don't know that I will ever be able to just read these books because then I would miss hearing each and every word.
Unlike most book series, Kevin Hearne is able to make each book a great "individual" best seller, while still making them all fall together in this great book series. There are no dull spots in this book at all! The Iron Druid, his apprentice, and his faithful Irish Wolf Hound travel from the USA to Europe and to Tír na nÓg ... not to mention Mount Olympus, all the while managing not to get killed. The entire book is a non-stop adventure, and I have listened to it twice now.... picking up new details both times.... I just might listen to it a third time.
Plus the narrator Luke Daniels is a genius when it comes to creating multiple voices for what seems to be an endless supply of new-dangerous charactors.
I can't think of any other book or book series "like" the Iron Druid books....
but if I were to compare it on levels of complexity...
I would say the "Sword Of Truth" book series might compare when it comes to different lands, magical powers, different charactors, and a great narrator.
Luke Daniels has a great ability to create many different charactors with his own voice, and is able to recall them perfectly whether they have an American accent, or Irish, or Greek etc etc....
I have only listened to the stories, I do not have the time to read books....
I couldn't imagine the books being the same with out Luke Daniels narration!
Yes and No....
If I could have I definitely would have, but I like making the Iron Druid books last as long as possible.... so it doesn't seem to be such a long time between books.
That is the real reason I listen to them 2 or 3 times.... I have never done that to any other book series
If you are looking for a fantastic and exciting book series to start... You need go no further!
I promise you will fall in love with this book series.... and Oberron!
furthering the tale
Enjoyable, cause I liked the smart ass comments and attitude. I did not think it was enjoyable as the others, but still fine for a quick read/listen. Hope you enjoy this one.
I Love to read and I am all over the place. From Fantasy to Non Fiction to True Crime. Sadly even some Romance novels which I never thought I would read but they turned out to be not bad some even good as long as they had some fantasy in them
That the Iron Druid did get to finish training a new druid, while holding off his love for her off for the 12 years that it took
The main Character of course. He is honest in his heart, brave, his courage and his love for his friends knew no end
His voice for Oberon I just love it
To many things to to just post here
Ranks in the top 5
when she finishes her apprenticeship
Always makes me laugh, and keeps me interested
I'm an instructor in the business college at a university in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy hard scifi and books about how the brain works.
Yes, it would be worth it just to hear the narrator talk through Pirun and Oberon's lines!
Any time Oberon claims he has been a great hound and deserves bacon...Just makes my day.
Too many to pick just one, although the tattoing sequences were a lot of fun.
