No. I believe there other thrillers I would recommend above this one. The premise of erasing the protagonists identity to hide a secret is excellent and the idea that the first lady would kill the president is an interesting idea. The story fails to deliver at the end.
I would have shortened the sex scenes considerably and probably eliminated at least two of them. They slowed down an otherwise good story flow. I would have thought more about how the story ends.
Carrington MacDuffie's performance was excellent.
Yes. It would actually make a better movie than a novel. The premise and the event stream is simple and easy to follow. It would work well to replace the difficult descriptive passages with visualization.
Yes, but I would first recommend some of her older books.
The same as all her other endings.
I liked the narrator. I thought she did a good job without being distracting with her voices.
Yes, but I thought it could have been shorter
I like Linda Howard, but I definitely enjoyed her older books more. She seems to have run out of fresh ideas and just combines elements of her other books into her new ones. I haven't really enjoyed her last four or five books that have come out.
The story was ok but I couldn't finish the book because for some reason Linda Howard has been writing now for quite sometime a book on sex! I used to read her books because the story was very interesting now it seems she just throws in some kind of a story to write about sex scenes. I won't be buying anymore of her books, if I wanted to read soft porn I'd still be reading Laurell K Hamiliton!
I love to read and listen.. romance and triller quick wit or funny. Just keep me interested
I have read all of her books and I was disappointed.. The book does not get moving until after the middle and does not have much interplay between the top two characters. Misses the mark
Makes you wonder if things like this really happen? Deja vu?
I listen while Ii work so I was always waiting to get back to them. It was one of those books where you worry about the characters and miss them when it's over.
It was good. I've heard better but still enjoyable.
I listen to audio books every day and love the intimate nature of the relationship between the narrator and the author
The concept of this story line is just what i love, however eventhough enjoyed this book it was not exactly what i had anticipated
This book reminds me of the Linda Howard I've loved for many years. I have to say that her last couple of books haven't been that great and I've actually hesitated to buy more. This one reaffirms my faith in Linda.
That's difficult to say. I liked the main characters.
Not that I can recall. I enjoyed this performance though.
I waited what seemed like forever. It was good but at the same time not so good.
This was the second book I listened to that she has done. The first did not even rate one star, she did a much better job on this one. However, it stilled lacked something.
The characters were solid at the beginning but then flat lined at the end.
It started out well but lost something as I got further into the book. Maybe a little too much intrigue for my taste in books. Usually like all of this author's books but disappointed in this one. Took too long for main characters to actually interact.
Yes but hopefully not like this book
I think the narrator did a GREAT job
Stay away from "spy-type thrillers"!!
I prefer romantic, funny, happy books. Life today & the nightly news are serious enough!
Linda Howard rocks
Pursuit by Karen Robards because in that book the First Lady died and the hero and heroine were being chased by all types of bad guys.
I felt like I was inside the action, very suspenseful.
